Yeah it's a fair point. Put it this way, only the 2nd and 3rd goal really stood out to me as nice play, although poor defending. The 2 penalties were definitely penalties but completely random, stupid and in no way goal scoring opportunities. The first goal was also a complete fluke, but excellent work from Daly. Thats not to take anything away from the lads, we did what was needed, but it wasn't attractive to watch - maybe that summarises it better? I’ll take unattractive to watch every week if we win 6 - 0. 😂 Well we had pretty close to that with Coughlan, were 4th in L1 and still some people weren't happy Thank god Ben made us see the light 😂

No wonder a man who chose to leave the club is still held in such high regard and gets his deserved mentions in a thread about a 6-0 victory 2 managers later.

Yeah I'd take 4th in L1 at Christmas and beat Bromley in the cup, than be in relegation but beat Darlington 6-0.

Just wondering what assessment you can make of the players. It seems odd to win 6-0 without sounding like we played well as a team considering it was against non-league opposition. Let’s hope it starts to come together on Wednesday then. Yeah it's a fair point. Put it this way, only the 2nd and 3rd goal really stood out to me as nice play, although poor defending. Thats not to take anything away from the lads, we did what was needed, but it wasn't attractive to watch - maybe that summarises it better? Are cup games ever about attractive football?. I've seen some great cup ties and some awful ones and I can only remember whether we won or lost and to me that's all that matters. We looked better than Darlington and we deservedly won, but I'd have taken winning undeservedly at a pinch.

Any news on the JD injury ? would be surprised if he'll be fit for Wed - when you do your ankle ligaments like that I'd say it's a week minimum. But we will have Brandon back

Yeah I'd take 4th in L1 at Christmas and beat Bromley in the cup, than be in relegation but beat Darlington 6-0. nothing decided at Christmas. lest we forget.

Indeed not, however being 4th at Xmas and being an organised, if limited team that consistently got results was a lot more comfortable than watching the dross we had to endure under the fraud. I suppose we had to go through the Garner pain to recruit the players he signed, or at least Tommy sourced to his specifications, and hopefully a decent manager will get a tune from them. Still can't forgive Coughlan for the way he left, perhaps he regrets his actions now as well.

Torn ligaments or broken ankle judging but the way his foot went as he landed. Not looking good if his foots in a protective boot , I was surprised when he walked off to be honest the replay clearly showed his foot bending the wrong way almost 90 degrees.
