Bit of a curt statement from EFL.
You would think they could at least add a line wishing players well rather than focus on investigation.

What's happened to all the previous EFL "investigations" as I've not heard of any club being penalised?

Lets hope its no one in the first team. The affects of catching Covid can last for months in some cases

I hope they are all well & no one has any long term effects or indeed passes it on to someone vulnerable. Very Curt message from the EFL - almost feel they are blaming the club, perhaps they didn’t expect us to bang in 9 goals in the last 3 games.......... Shame on a football front tho as these two games would be good to gauge where we are, with confidence better at present you want to play these sort of games now rather if you have to play extra games during a lean spell. Positive note tho, if the Oxford game in played in the spring there might be more of us allowed into the ground to give a warm welcome back to the Mem, to one of our former players.

Quite surprised by the responses here. I’d have thought anyone who looked at the data worldwide wouldn’t be fearful at all. I certainly am not, and I’m in an at risk group! The chances of death are minuscule unless you’re over 80 or seriously unwell. I would have thought people are getting a bit tired of the mishandling of it. Plenty of countries in asia with single digits and tiny health budgets who aren’t seeing their lives destroyed Both my grandparents are over 90 and I'm terrified for them this Christmas.

He was in his mid-60's with no underlying health conditions. It's still out there and it's still deadly.

Colleague 61 no underlying conditions in hospital for 3 months, couldn’t fight it off. Another devastated family. Rest in peace.

What's happened to all the previous EFL "investigations" as I've not heard of any club being penalised? Exactly. Cannot see how an investigation can be carried out at Rovers or any other club. How could the EFL say any club is at fault. They cannot say the virus is amongst our players due to them breaching protocols any more than we can say they contracted the virus at Wimbledon, Orient or a Plymouth official/player bought it into the stadium.

It had nothing to do with Covid and everything to do with him being on deaths door already. I’m sorry you lost someone. I’m not doubting it’s a serious virus, it’s the complete farce we’ve seen. Vietnam for everyone’s reference has had 35 deaths out of 97 million (genuine stats by the way) Not sure why we’ve had 50k+ when we have a world class health service Average age of Covid death in the U.K. is 82 by the way, which is higher than life expectancy.

My sister works on a covid ward , she’s dealing with on average 5 deaths a week . Really can’t be dealing with idiots .
