Presuming they were of course. I’ve got a thing about fireworks anyway - should be banned all year round for the distress they cause to dogs. Why is explosive material allowed to be sold to the public? Another debate for another forum I guess. Cats too. Thing is they aren’t illegal and if someone’s out in their garden enjoying themselves then fair enough init 👍 Surely not right if it adversely impacts on other people - in this case interrupting the Saturday night viewing of millions of people and sportsman having bits of it landing amongst them!!!

Paul Tisdale inherited a mis-match of a squad who BG could not seem to turn into a winning machine, Paul has managed to get one or two excellent performances from the same players but has suffered as any team would with injuries to key players. I am sure that by now he knows even with every one fit the squad needs overhauling ,some in some out and has started with Williams who would seem to fill a void. I am sure he and the club are desperately searching for what we all know are the missing pieces but the last thing we want is panic buying aka Stefan Payne and the like. He will know by now that the defence needs a revamp and a change or two, hence Williams, and he is a vastly experienced manager who IMHO will sort it. It is tough at the moment but i wish fans would cut him some slack and leave it to him, he is not stupid and can see the same as we can ,we all know what is needed but getting the right pieces is not so easy as some would make it out to be after all pretty much every body thought BG's signings were top notch but look how that has turned out! My main gripe is that preseason some of our youngsters showed great promise but were then promptly discarded and sent out on loan, we could do a lot worse than get Tom Mehew and Tomlinson back for starters but that's just my opinion, i believe Tom especially offers as much if not more than the likes of Westbrook, Upton, and co .Any way enough of this guess all i am saying is trust our very experienced manager with a couple of signings and Jacks, Nicho, Ozzy(or Tom)! and Daly we will look a very different team! PS Just to rub it in watching Cheltenham give Man city RES a game and a half , wouldn't mind May up front and Tozer at the back! Daly type poach from May! Up the Rovers!

I totally get what your saying perhaps 442 would better until either of them return but I was thinking during the game who we do have available who could have done a job as one of the attacking three mids in 4231 and I’ve come up with this ... Rodman Tutonda Westbrooke Mc Cormick Walker Hanlan Koiki Leahy There’s probably more I haven’t thought of. So 8 players fit who could do a job there. Obviously leahy would be best as a left sided rather than central attacking midfielder as would Koiki. Tutonda I reckon could be as good as Nicholson in that Bodin position right hand side cutting in role. I’ve included Hanlan because he’s good at collecting the ball from deeper and running at people too, although obviously that would mean playing Ayunga as the centre forward. Some will say this is madness or I’m just wrong I’m sure but I would have much preferred this than today’s offering from Tisdale. He said that he’s still learning about his players . What has he learned today ? Probably that if he sets up with a 541 formation two games in a row a sh** tactic then his players will perform sh** in that tactic. Why didn’t he stick with the tactic that served him well v Plymouth, Blackpool , Wimbledon Darlington etc and just tweak that starting 11 because of injuries? I’m at a loss to what he’s thinking these last few games I really am. Tutonda could be as good as Nicholson. Are you sure? No not sure far from it but from what I’ve seen he’s quick , skillful and likes running at people so worth a try. I’d rather that than what our manager has churned out this week. I am sure that Ehmer isn’t a wing back and Baldwin isn’t a midfielder and he did that today I’d say if Koiki is worth trying as an attacking wide mid then Tutonda from what I’ve seen of the two is a better player, more skillful and quicker - more likely to create something. I guess what I’m saying is that having come in Tisdale changed the formation and tempo 4231 we won four or five games pulled away from relegation zone and towards mid table - then Sammy N and Oz get injured so he changes it all rather than sticking with what was having some success and just bringing in other players to replace them. Westbrooke or Mc Cormick could do a job as a number 10 to replace Otzumer and Tutonda , Rodman Westbrooke Mc Cormick could play where Nicholson’s been playing j. Last two games we’ve been pretty much a flat 541 MC cormick has got forward a bit but he’s everywhere, cracking player - subbed last two games when he’s been our best midfielder in both games.

All of my posts are my opinions and posted under freedom of speech. You have deliberately attempted to wind me up with your self confessed nonsense. You are an annoying individual This is hilarious. You spend your time on here doing nothing but trying to annoy ‘fellow’ Gasheads (presuming you are a Gashead yourself of course) and then cry like a spoilt kid the moment someone winds you up before throwing insults around. Instead of waiting for a ban why don’t you give us all a rest and take a Gaschat sabbatical - about thirty years would probably do the trick. Bye! Keep working on him AF!!! Ooh look Huggy Bear has got a little mate or are you his dad? Got any silly little film clips you wish to post? I probably don't have 30 years left. If you are his father, how is the home schooling going. I hope its not too difficult.

I do like Tutonda and don’t really understand why he’s been frozen out by PT, especially when he switches to a back 5 when surely Tutonda is a better option than Leahy as a wingback? I think Nicholson is our best player and potentially one of the best players in the division.

That was awful today. Why so many defenders, and when you make substitutions, you bring on a fella who is evidentially unfit and take off McCormack, take off Ogogo and bring on yet another defender. Our defenders our so slow in making decisions, cannot wait to see the back of particularly Ehmer, Baldwin, Leahy and most of all Harries. And Grant ....

Agreed , Nicholson reminds me a lot of Billy Bodin a very exciting left footed player who is lethal when he picks the ball up on the right and runs at people. Thing is with him out and Bodin long gone we had nobody in that side today who had pace and skill and a willingness to run at people. I’m certain Tutonda would have at least tried to do that.

Just happen to think he’s spot on here and it’s hilarious that you think it’s ok for you to annoy and antagonise everyone you possibly can and then ball your eyes out when the tables get turned. It’s cheered me up on what has been a miserable day for genuine gasheads so thanks!

I’m not a fan of banning things just because someone else doesn’t like it or is inconvenienced by it...there are many people who don’t like dogs, cats, horses, cars, bicycles, fireworks...the list is endless and in todays intolerant society the first point of call for so many is it should be banned. I have a cat who doesn’t like fireworks.

The amount of injuries caused each year, the fact it’s allowing members of the public to get hold of explosive material and the impact on animals probably should take precedence over people’s liking of fireworks and justify it being banned imo. Probably enough from me - seem to have turned this in to the firework day match thread!!!

No delusions about this one. "I certainly know what we need to do for Tuesday". Famous last words? Haven't been able to watch the past 3 games, but going on reports it sounds really dire. Whilst I aired my doubts about Tisdale at first, I thought he'd actually move us forward. From what I'm reading, it sounds like we're going backwards at this rate. Worrying times.

It’s why the speed limit is 70 and not 5. The amount of injuries on the road, if we stuck to 5mph we wouldn’t have any injuries. 65 million people being able to celebrate and have an enjoyable spectacle is more important than single or double digits of people who are injured, mainly not not always, through improper and drunken use. As for cats, I get scared by recessions, cancer and mortgage repayments. If all dogs and cats get is one year under the couch, they probably just have to deal with it?

Pathetic interview with Tommy W saying a couple of weeks ago never signed anymore strikers in the summer because we were only going to play 1 up front, pathetic we are getting what we deserve for poor recruitment, HMS P### the league has hit rocky waters.

What we needed when we sacked nice and gentle Garner was a tough no nonsense manager in the Coughlan / Warnock mould but we went with nice and gentle Tisdale. I’ve got a feeling Wael likes his managers to be of a similar mould character wise as himself. Most of the best managers in British football history have been tough no nonsense characters, Fergie , clough , Jose etc are not likeable characters but the players don’t have to like their manager they need to respect him and it helps a bit if they’re a bit scared of him too. I don’t see Tisdale keeping us up and I’m afraid I think we’ll go down if we stick with him and have a better chance of staying up if we went for perhaps Tony Craig as player manager until the end of the season. To be fair that wouldn’t garauntee staying up but I think we’d have at least a fighting chance. Sad to say I think Wael likes yes men, especially when looking at the direction we have gone in after a no bullshit character like Coughlan. It will be interesting to see what happens with Widdrington after the best summer of recruitment ever. I suspect his job is safe regardless and probably Tisdale’s too. A nice soft underbelly at the club where no-one challenges the hard work to undo everything that DC did for us.

Tisdale has selected defensively recently in order to obtain a point from each game which has failed leaving us in a perilous position and with the vast number of players and a wage bill largely being funded by Wael, some supporters are calling for a 20 goal a season signing. Please get real as the economics of the madhouse appears to be in charge and the elephant in the room, which most are ignoring is gate income being zero. Tisdale in all likelihood will set up defensively again at Peterborough with our customary 4 goal thumping on the cards. He knows that our only hope lies with the return of Nicholson, Oz and Daly and revert to a back 4. Even then those 3 will be rusty with no certainty that they will regain their previous form. The current team selections and substitutions are bizarre and Tisdale seems to have lost the plot along with Widdrington Starnes and Wael. Who on earth in the current economic climate can accommodate such a huge number of players and staff and survive?
