A bit of fanny is always on my mind but I don’t like to see it in a relegation scrap. You don't want to go down? On fanny at every opportunity on league 2 ? Never again.

Great point against a bogey team for us - very happy with that.
Lots of grit and fight shown by all the team, just what we need to turn our results around.
I really hope Westbrooke can become an asset for us. I find him a frustrating player to watch, but I'm sure he knows better than any of us where he needs to improve. Fingers crossed he can do it.
UTG!

Ogogo joined the club two years ago and I have always maintained that he was and is the clubs best midfield player, Ben didn't want him - what on earth was he thinking of. Not sure how much of last season you watched? Ogogo is a scapper with very limited ball playing skills. Tonight he was fine but hardly a performance that suggests he is our best midfielder. Not our "best" midfielder but I'd go as far as to say that we would have lost the game today if any of our other midfielders played instead of him. So what that says to me is that he might be our most important midfielder right now and until we're out of this relegation scrap. I think our CMs have been overran and outmuscled in every game this season until today.... And perhaps one other game actually (I forget which one, but Upson played like a man possessed and bossed the midfield).

I thought Baldwin was brilliant tonight. Won everything that came his way and looking to break forward with the ball all night. Agree. Reads the game well. Has a mistake in him but if he can play with the confidence he showed today he’s an excellent foil for Kilgour.

Great point, despite that we have too many lightweights in this squad we still lost almost every battle for the ball tonight, tearing my hair out watching our players easily shrugged off the ball this season; Grant is pitiful glad Ogogo is back in to help him out.

Stopped the rot which was the most important thing to do, and frankly even if we were competing for the playoffs right now I’d be saying that’s a good point!

Couldn’t watch tonight but pleased to read comments on here. Glad to hear Baldwin played well and that Ogogo and Grant worked well together. (socrates will be pleased with Abu!) Hope there’s no bad reaction for Oz and Nicholson, we need them on Saturday. Well done Tis and the team. UTG!

Kingswoodisblkue, Did you watch the same game? Felt we won a lot of ball tonight and battled well throughout and thoroughly deserved a point. Topper cant agree with you on no place for Westbrooke.Have you not learnt from this season so far that there are so many games left that we are going to need a complete squad to get through the games. Credit where credit is due and most of the team were superb tonight.

Really strong team performance tonight, with everyone showing a lot of fight.
Especially pleased with the performances of Baldwin and Grant tonight. Two players that I've been critical of previously, but Baldwin kept JCH very quiet and Grant put himself about a lot more.
Also have to say how much more threatening we look with Nicolson and Oztumer back.

A word on westbrooke. To me he seems to be playing the wrong role in midfield and has been for a while. He should be the one picking the ball up from the back and moving it forward. He hasn’t been played in this position as of yet ? Deep lying playmaker is his perfect position but I’m not sure how it all fits with the players we have seemed to work very well at cov but hasn’t at all here

I watched every home game last season and a few away and yep he was the most effective midfield player in the club. No opponent has it easy against him.

Excellent result, feeling well gruntled. Fair play to Jester for taking this one on. Massive kahunas.

Hope there’s no bad reaction for Oz and Nicholson, we need them on Saturday. Well done Tis and the team. UTG! Yep been saying all season we miss a midfield general more than anything and to be honest it wasn’t necessarily Ogogo I was calling for because I didn’t think he be back just that we needed an experienced captain type in midfield. Abu probably only got this season and one more in him at this level so we need more experience ASAP through the midfield and up front preferably this window but I realise that’s difficult in January. Grant could be that player in the future but I reckon he needs games alongside Abu to realise that potential because he doesn’t seem to learn anything from playing with westbrooke or Upson. Hopefully it’s a partnership that can pull us away from the relegation zone. Abu has done it once before for us, it was two years ago but he was great then and he was great v Peterborough.

I thought it was a mistake to bring Abu back but even if he doesn’t play so well again he showed me that Tis knows more about managing a team than this supporter.
He did a great job tonight. Apart from his own game I suspect he gave others, especially Grant, a lot of support and confidence.
The whole team seemed more confident, probably because Oz and Nicks were back at the start. It helped that we had a few bits of luck and didn’t concede early and then self belief started to grow as Grant and Abu held the midfield - to the extent that even the incredibly biased Posh commentators noticed and said it first half.
It was a great team performance overall so I don’t think it’s right to knock anyone. Westbrooke even made a full blooded tackle tonight, never his strong point but he was trying. Everybody was - that got us the point - we all played as a team and I suspect largely in line with what Tis asked.
Up the Gas, Keep the faith!

He's got a great range of passing, composure on the ball and vision.
There are two problems I have with him playing deep. He's no tackler and I think that's needed in front of the back line. Also, when he has played there, he has a tendency to look for the Hollywood long ball.
By all means get him in the midfield, but not too deep.

Well that was better wasn't it! Its amazing what difference it makes with probably our two best players back in the side! They appeared to give confidnce throughout the rest of the team!
A solid night in goal for Day, much better defensively and hopefully thats the last we see of Ehmer at RWB. Williams looks a decent player.
Grant and Ogogo together I thought were superb. Even the biased Peterborough commentators were saying how Rovers were not given them a sniff in midfield. Very refreshing to see for a change! Grant did tire towards the end but hung in there.
Up front Hanlan looks better when he has two good players supporting him. The goals will come back again soon.
Even though for some reason Westbrooke couldn't pass five yards when he came on, we stilled managed to create a few half chances once Nicholson & Oz came off. I am glad Tis took the risk in taking them off and saving them for Saturday.
Play like we did last night and we will start picking up points again. We just cannot afford to keep loosing key players to injury.

Wasn’t able to watch the game but assume our defence was much better, can someone tell me if we looked more organised defending set pieces? Has been a big weakness and getting that right will give us more clean sheets in the future. Utg!
