I wouldn’t be adverse to Guiness-Walker either. Fantastic season at Met Police last year and looked so good against us today. Can you Barton wanting to sign a player with such a close affiliation to the Met Police?!

Gardening leave is when a person is effectively removed from their job/sacked, but still get paid until they get a new job somewhere else, or are brought back into their original role, I think? Yep, agreed. I think that the both of us were rather confused as to why anyone would say that about a player that has not really done much wrong and had been playing every match until the last couple. Not the most supportive comment from the person that suggested it. Agreed , Our top scorer and has worked his socks off all season in a position he’s not used to and at most times had very little in the way of support. I’m not sure who I’d give player of the season to up until now but he would be in my my top 3. Up until the new year I think he had 8 goals which is decent but then playing sat - tues - sat - Tues every week as a lone target man which clearly isn’t his game obviously caught up with him. We’ve got a decent player on our hands in Hanlan but he’s not Rickie Lambert and some of the comments in here are deluded / disrespectful. Having said that Rickie got plenty of abuse in his first season also by people who clearly don’t understand football.
