I don’t know if you’re trying to wind us up here or what? I did act, by requesting that we don’t tell others to F off for having a different point of view. We’re not dishing out bans for first time offences. Calling for bans full stop is a bit cu*tish if you don't mind me saying so. If someone annoys you that much I believe their eis a way of blocking them so you can't see what they post etc. I’ve blocked everyone else on here. I just talk to myself. I’m by far the most interesting person I know.

Can't argue that! Only positive I'm taking is that I don't have to worry about starting another one 😖🤐😅 Other than that, absolutely fuming at the refereeing tonight!!! chin up lad, maybe next time! I think an unwritten rule should go down not to stop a winning run tho. 😜 Today I learnt that rule for the first time. About 8 times today 😣😖 !! Lesson learned the hard way, sorry chaps!!

Disappointed with tonight, especially after the dominant first half.
Awful referee cost us that one, whilst we missed our chances yet again I thought we'd come away with at least a point.
Hanlan... Jeez the guy works his socks off but his first touch is diabolical! His finishing has been good but he really needs to work on his touch if he's going to become a 20 goal a season man. I think he's got it in him and he is still young so I'm looking forward to him progressing.
But as has been said time and time again we should have got some experience in both windows to help out.
As for Barton... My initial thoughts were a big no no, but there is something about him I'm starting to really like. He has passion and he has already shown a difference in the team spirit and tactics. We just need to snatch enough points to stay up and judge him on next season. I really think we'll come good if we stay up. Big if...!
Gotta make those chances pay though

This is how I see it
1. We are still outside the relegation zone 2. The teams below is also have tough games 3. This is the time of the season where no one wants to play a team down the bottom... ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN 4. Whilst we aren't taking are chances, at least we are now creating 5. We aren't conceding many at the back 6. We still have the feel good factor of JB arrival
I still firmly believe we will survive... I don't think we'll need as many points as previous years

Looks and sounds like a man who has now realised the sheer size of the task he's facing. I wonder if he took over with one eye on the fixture list; he maybe expected 7 points minimum from the run of games with Wigan, shrews and Burton. I doubt he expected to be sat here tonight facing the media having taken just three points from those three very winnable games. Doesn't matter if we deserved more from the games or not, it's ultimately about picking up points and its incredibly worrying that we have taken only 3 points from these last three games against other poor teams (wigan are currently bottom of the table!). We will need to pull some upsets off from now to the end of the season to stay up as we're squandering opportunities against those around us.

Rubbish un-eventful 1st 15 mins then we really started to take hold of the game and should have easily gone in a goal up. I stated in a previous match thread and spoke to my ex prem Lino friend about this issue today of kicking the ball away, so it might be my fault. This kicking the ball away seems acceptable today and has been since lockdown. I said to him all season about how it always happens to us but we never do it. Told him we seemed quite street wise (if you can call it that) on Saturday. Sad way to have to play the game, seems the modern way.
Why can’t the f.a say to refs we are not accepting this. 1st incident call both captains over and say “we’re not having that today, anymore I’ll get the yellow out. They’ve been told.
Today how many times and every game were quick free kicks not allowed because of an offending team stopped it.
He didn’t need to kick the ball away but he didn’t stop a quick throw. The ref needs to stamp it out and not choose what he seems unfair.
Example : Cricket. If the bowler steps over the line it’s a illegal delivery. If the umpire misses 10 no balls the bowler doesn’t know he’s over stepping the line. However bowler takes a wicket, Drs (var) will check the no ball. And you can guess the rest. Thankfully that is no longer an issue at test level.
It needs sorting.
Yes it was a yellow 2 years ago / not a yellow today the way things have been allowed to slip.

Another frustrating night. We create a few chances, can't convert them (we all know why, scratched record) and let a sloppy goal in and cling on for the lose. Nickers clear through. Brandon clear through. Leahy shot. Rodders at the death. No goals.....we are paying the price for our failure to sign an experienced striker at this level and haven't replaced JCH. Smith only has one foot....as fast as he is, you got to coerce him and his like away from goal, not inside so he can shoot unblocked. Goal. Slow and lethargic again in possession, no forward movement, no runs. They played offside first half, but Leahy hardly got forward second. After sending off it looked like they had more players on the pitch than us!? How many times is it opposite when we play v 10? McCormick.....ok, the ref was awful. Inconsistent all night. But you don't give him the opportunity to book you....Luke did and through naivity of youth perhaps cost us the game. We looked broken after that. He'll serve a ban too. Arguably without our best player.....the ref softly books our player to sending off and not theirs.....things haven't been going for us for a while and the one step forward and three steps back is gonna put us in Division 4 and the slide continues.... Poor, tonight. We are a better team than them and played the football first half. But, yet again we are masters of our own destiny and conspired to beat ourselves. Individual and collective errors are costing us matches and we can't find a way out of it.. Wigan and Burton are two nails (in coffin) where we can't find a win in those 4 fixtures. Yet, we've been the best performing team in all those games! Crazy times, indeed... Agree with all the above but we’ve got a bloke sat on the bench for 85 mins , he scored 2 in his last start and looks dangerous when he’s been on for the last 5 mins..... and he wins balls in the air . Play him .

Just listened to JB's after match comments. Disappointed with his comments about the referee, suggesting that he was favouring Burton.I saw no evidence of that. We were totally dominant in the first half but missed several very decent chances. McCormick was foolish to kick the ball away, particularly when he's on a yellow already and ultimately that swung the game. Moral is 1. Don't miss good chances and 2. Keep 11 players on the pitch.

To be honest I agreed with him. Burton made 21 fouls in the match including 13 in the first half. There were numerous times when they kicked the ball away, stopped free kicks being taken and deliberately brought players down as they were making progress and the ref was very lenient with his cards. To then completely go over the top with a second yellow for McCormick was totally inconsistent in approach.

It creates time for decision making and helping you maintain possession into the next phase. It is something that can be improved dramatically on the training ground. But it does take time and effort - hours of repetition until you have complete mastery. We have plenty of resources at the club to help with this kind of thing. We should actually have a large rebound wall at the Quarters. Players need to have complete confidence that they can kill any ball dead. You need to remove any doubt in their mind that they will fck it up, otherwise they will fck it up. Certain players will need to put in extra hours when the others head to the bookies & fairways . I used to have the touch of a baby elephant, untill I put in the extras.

For crying out loud, how hard can it be? Did we win the last game? ----> yes ----> Did you start the match day thread for the last game ----> No -----> Then don't start this one FFS! I didn't see it had already been put up and yes I did start the last Matchday thread, meant to put it up last night but fell asleep in my chair watching the lovely Charlie Theron kicking ass on the tv FFS you tired old b@stard. Get some Red bull into you , or we’re going down. Charlize would be disappointed.
