Some incredibly harsh comments on Kilgour in this thread, the 2nd goal was a lack of communication between him & Harries (personally I thought on 1st view that Harries didn't need to challenge as Kilgour was already committed) but apart from that I'm not sure he did much wrong. He played in the centre of the 3 and was up against Magennis for the most part who barely had a kick. We've restricted the side 2nd in the table and top goalscorers to 2 shots on target away from home. Could he really have been as bad as some are making out ?

True although even from iFollow I could see there wasn’t enough pace on the ball to be confident of it going out.... I know Leahy has made the mistake today and he’s made a couple this season but in the main (and with his goals too) he’s been our most stable and strongest Left Back Nonsense, Tutonda's hardly played since Garner departed and Kioki rarely trusted all season, calamity Leahy is picked week in/week out, if we'd given the youngster's more game time earlier in the season they may now be up to speed, it's asking a lot expecting them to now come into a bottom 4 side and perform. Topper let’s agree to disagree as personally when Tuts and Koiki have played earlier in the season, they had their moments but both I felt were very rough and I wasn’t overly impressed

Barton's commemnt “That is part of the frustration, they’re (Rovers) not a bad team, but the league table suggests otherwise.” Distancing himself already. If we go down he will leave of his own accord and we look again for another manager I picked up on this too. Didn't like that tbh. Did you actually listen to the interview? He’s not distancing himself at all

I think Alfie has been poor for weeks, if he wasn't one of us he would be getting huge amount of stick.

Good interview by Joey changes coming 4 Tuesday then He has started using DC's phrase "dust ourselves down" It’s the chorus from the song “Pick Yourself Up”: “Will you remember the famous men Who had to fall to rise again? So take a deep breath Pick yourself up Dust yourself off Start all over again”

Still people on here blaming Widdrington for the recruitment. FFS. All that he does is identify the types of player the manger wants. The MANAGER then decides who to sign !!! If his plan is too play 5 - 4 - 1 every week as per FIFA guide to best football, how many strikers do you actually need. You only play with one and one on the bench, one sat in the stand, so three should be plenty backed up by some youth players.

I wonder how much Project Garner has cost Wael, two managers to pay off already and probably also having to buy up half a dozen or more youngsters contracts this summer if we are relegated.

TW's DoF, if somebody who's in charge of the football side of the club isn't to blame then who is? TW told us the players he'd signed were good enough to stay up, I assume he also told Wael the same, whereas two manager's seem to be showing that's not the case.

You have to blame the managers, Garner sanctioned and selected the summer overhaul, Tisdale signed a right back he knew and a keeper who was the best available, he didn't think the strikers on offer were any better then he had apart from Stockley who had a better offer.

Do you think we would have signed Williams if Tisdale didn't have a say in who we signed. Does not fit the profile of being a young player that can be developed.

Bit worrying that we are on the third manager now to be unable to get a tune out of this squad. Which suggests the squad are just not up to the job. Mr 1.38ppg must shoulder the majority of the blame since he put them together after watching way too many Barcelona games.
Whatever happens we will have Mr Barton here next season (barring custody or his resignation, of course). Let's hope he's ready for the challenge.
I'm beginning to think we are going down. Too many others around us now starting to pick up points.

He's talking about the squad, "they're" is the correct term in which to refer to them. The entire interview he is talking about how "we" need to do better, not 'Rovers need to do better' or 'they need to do better'. I'm all for being a bit down after a loss, but you're looking for something that frankly isn't there.

I thought he'd keep us up tbh, I'm not sure whether he will now, could go either way - although I have seen a general improvement since he's come in. I'm confident Barton is the right man to take us forward though, be it in L1 or L2.

[ Much needed experience in defence that’s why the young player that can be developed philosophy was abandoned in this situation but obviously Tisdale knew him and he could do a job for Rovers.

It never ceases to amaze me how Cian Harries keeps his place. His defending is non existent and his body language is shocking. No strength and no presence as far as I can see. No where near good enough.

The only defenders who I would pick are never in the squad let alone on the bench! Hare, tutunda and Baldwin we get into starting 11 over harries, leahy and Williams and as for Kilgore well hes nothing short of league two standard at best IMO. Weve never been solid at the back since Craig left
