i'll do my best to update it after each match mate, wont take long for Barton to get to 10-15 matches so we can then see - looking much brighter for sure Does anyone know the target points target we need for safety... i'll create a viz on that if I can Barton has mentioned 52pts as a target a few times. Thanks mate. I best do some work then get back to the Rovers stuff

Thanks for that - really interesting. Confirms what I expected that we are better both defensively and as an attacking force. I wonder how JB's stats will look when his number of games is more comparative to BG and PT? i'll do my best to update it after each match mate, wont take long for Barton to get to 10-15 matches so we can then see - looking much brighter for sure Does anyone know the target points target we need for safety... i'll create a viz on that if I can 538 predicts 46.

Another quick Viz Yes granted it does highlight all the best parts of what JB has brought to us but still a good looking chart. Bars are the total shots that we have faced from our opponents and the shots that were on target are clearly marked. When you think we played most of the second half with 10 men against Burton that's quite an impressive looking set of stats. Long may it continue! * I will add to this and republish after future matches... Attachment DeletedUTG

Like this JB quote:
Barton cannot wait to welcome his new supporters to the Mem.
“I was on a run this morning and I got up to the Clifton Suspension Bridge and you can’t run across it so I had to stop my tracker and walk across,” he told Bristol Live after Tuesday’s 4-1 win.
“As I was walking across I had a look at the city and thought ‘wow’, this is our city and it is ours to take over.
“Coming across the bridge, I was thinking ‘wouldn’t it be wonderful if we got this place absolutely bouncing?’
“It’s got the infrastructure to go as far as it wants to go. I’ve played for Premier League clubs that have sat in those top tiers for a long time but they don’t have what we’ve got in Bristol, it’s a special place.
“The people have been fantastic and all we want to do is get this stadium full and get them loving the football we’re playing.”

Hmmmm...myself, I love it. It's beautiful 'cos I believe him. It makes me feel proud of my club, proud of my city and hopeful of what might be. Bloody poetry is what that is. UTG!

I thought there was a WOW moment in last night’s game that didn’t necessarily get the attention it should have. Sam Nicholson, who had a great attacking game and scored a cracking goal made a perfectly timed, defensive sliding tackle in the Rovers penalty area to take the ball of the toe of an Accrington player out for a corner at a time when they were having just a little more luck getting at us. Joey Barton has got these players fighting for the Gas ‘cos after that moment I could see it all over the pitch and it gives me huge confidence we can stay up. Great job Mr. Barton and the players, thank you. UTG!

I also love this statement. Trying not to get too carried away but JB clearly ‘gets’ us. Not since DC has a manager looked like he could relate to the fan base and make the most of its potential. I hope Wael is able to keep up with the ambition of his manager.

Just glad he had a run around Clifton and not the Horfield area or he might have a change of mind.
