I don’t think I’ve ever seen two big lads up front get bullied so easily as those two. To be fair only Leahy had a good game today we were so poor and Northampton were too it could be argued that both deserved to lose. Our front two are so easy to play against, crowd them out and they will lose it I am afraid they don't look like scoring. I honestly thought after those two goals against Pompey that Jonah would go on to another level, but it's a backwards one and so very disappointing. JB bemoans the defemnsive mistakes but he does not to change our fortunes up front? All our front two did today was try and control the high balls with their backs to goal and lay it off near the halfway line. Zero threat to the opposition goalkeeper, pretty much the same as Tom Nichols.

We seem to have two off days for every good day. Slowly but surely we are sinking, and escape is getting more and more difficult. Other results were a bit of a catastrophe today.
Not feeling positive. In fact the most positive outlook imaginable can't help if your other rivals score 4 and 5 goals as you drop two points to Northampton.

Tisdale was in charge in January when he could have righted the summer wrongs. Although BG and TW were clearly working to Wael's/MS' "vision" anyway. JCH's goals look likely to take Posh to the Championship, our lack of spending likely to take us to L2. History sadly repeating itself at Rovers after we sell on top goal scorer and just bank the profits. Also I said at the time what a measly fee we got for JCH as well. Peterbrough pulled our pants down. They got £5M plus future add ons for Toney. JCH has already scored more goals for Posh than Toney did in the whole of last season. Yea that’s worrying and that decision would have been taken from the highest level (Starnes). The people running this club are a disgrace

Gutted. Feels like a defeat today but we were poor and hardly deserved the 3 points. Toothless up front and unable to to overcome a poor Northampton side. The big worry is that Wimbledon and Wigan seem to have got their act together and look likely to survive based on their results today. In fairness they’ve both gone and done what we did which is to comfortably beat Doncaster and Accrington Stanley, two teams that have been on a downward spiral of results for a while. Don’t fancy either of them in midweek when Wigan face Sunderland and AFC Wimbledon face Ipswich. Got to be getting results in our two home games coming up. Absolutely imperative.

A draw isn't the worst result. I believe we can get something from Lincoln, MK Dons and Crewe

A draw isn't the worst result. I believe we can get something from Lincoln, MK Dons and Crewe Based on todays performance or the one win in 7? I hate it, but we are so poor we deserve to be relegated. If Nicholson stays (and stays fit) he is the one bright spark for next season. But dont we need a new back line and dominant midfielder? A couple of players resembling a striker wouldnt go amiss. But who would come to this club? In L2 and with an absolute crank as a manager? I can see it now "walk across the lake son, it will make you stronger, mentally"😞😞

Well as match day thread starter I take full responsibility for the 2 points dropped today, folks.
Whilst we’re still unbeaten under my leadership, today wasn’t what you all expected and I will admit I’m considering my retirement.
I need to speak with the family to discuss whether to continue, I will get back to you.

I have to say, I’m getting mixed messages... Keep doing it and we’ll get another four points from our next two games. It’s that simple. No pressure.

KB said the Alex Rodman has now got an illness causing him loss of weight so I suppose Alex's season looks over - best wishes to him for a full recovery With the acute situation now upon us regarding the lack of goals and Ayunga/Hanlan looking unlikely to score again this season, who can we try up top? If declared fit would Alfie "Biggs" Kilgour be considered as the cupboard is bare?
