Can a Mod please private message me. I would like to highlight a nasty message I have received from another forum member. Or you could pm a Mod? No attention gained by doing that though?

We seem to have two off days for every good day. Slowly but surely we are sinking, and escape is getting more and more difficult. Other results were a bit of a catastrophe today. Not feeling positive. In fact the most positive outlook imaginable can't help if your other rivals score 4 and 5 goals as you drop two points to Northampton. We’re no worse off this evening than we were this morning. Still need to win a match where those above us lose. Win it and keep getting more points than those around us. Level on points or one point less. In the grand scheme of things nothing has changed. But if we go down let’s go down fighting. Thought we were ok today. Two unbeaten.

KB said the Alex Rodman has now got an illness causing him loss of weight so I suppose Alex's season looks over - best wishes to him for a full recovery With the acute situation now upon us regarding the lack of goals and Ayunga/Hanlan looking unlikely to score again this season, who can we try up top? If declared fit would Alfie "Biggs" Kilgour be considered as the cupboard is bare? I thought Rodman just had the runs this week, that hardly seems like a season ending illness?

I sense we're worse off as Wigan and Wimbledon have both picked up 2 extra pts today. We probably now need to win one more game than we did this morning, or those two teams need to drop pts they'd be expected to pick up. Plus we only beat teams who are already on the beach i.e. Doncaster!

I have to say, I’m getting mixed messages... I'm ready to jump in and give it a go, but I think an unbeaten run is worth running with Alright I’ll make you a deal then, I’ll continue until our next loss & you can take over?

Gutted. Feels like a defeat today but we were poor and hardly deserved the 3 points. Toothless up front and unable to to overcome a poor Northampton side. The big worry is that Wimbledon and Wigan seem to have got their act together and look likely to survive based on their results today. In fairness they’ve both gone and done what we did which is to comfortably beat Doncaster and Accrington Stanley, two teams that have been on a downward spiral of results for a while. Don’t fancy either of them in midweek when Wigan face Sunderland and AFC Wimbledon face Ipswich. Got to be getting results in our two home games coming up. Absolutely imperative. Fingers crossed you'll be right.

Interesting Joey Barton mentioning forwards not scoring post match and not getting in the box he said a lack of quality which we have all known about when the season started Or to put it another way, we’ve got nothing in the effing box.

That would be a symptom not an illness - could be any number of causes. Hope it is short term whatever the cause as we could really do with him back in the starting line up.

But JB still picks the same two strikers each match, if he wanted Ayunga's height in the box then why not just drop Hanlan and keep Walker in the side, plus give Daly more than a 5 mins run out.

JB said a point wouldn’t be a disaster, but with Wigan and Wimbledon hitting form beating Northampton was our last chance. I think we’ve blown it. Not sure you can call teams winning just one game "hitting form"? Wimbledon play Ipswich and Wigan play Sunderland next if they both win those games then you can say they are hitting form, chances are they'll both lose. OK call it whatever you like. The fact is they have both produced results today the like of which we can only dream.

JB ought to give Otzumer a Run out what harm would it do, I’m sure he could put a good ball through to our strikers——-Just a second what strikers!😜💩

Yeah they were slow at the back and dodgey when hit b the counter but physical so Playing Daley or Walker or even both and trying to hit them quick on the ground would have been better I would have thought. Seems we played in to their hands a bit. When we did hit them on the counter Hanlan and Ayunga couldn’t get through as they weren’t quick enough. Walker would have been.

Whilst our lack of goal threat is a major issue, when you see Ipswich are 8th having scored one goal more, Fleetwood comfortably mid table with 3 more goals perhaps the number of goals conceded in what is a low scoring division is a bigger problem and the ‘experienced’ pros like Ehmer, Baldwin et al deserve more of the blame than our young inexperienced strike force. Keep 2 or 3 clean sheets and there may be hope of survival BUT we will still need someone at the other end to bag at least one.

Strange lineup today. Surprised with the selection of two up front when the system against Donny seemed to work.
Also, the four at the back negated Leahy's usual forays down the wing and to some extent held McCormick back as well.

We got one today then gave away another soft goal, JB said post match if we'd score two then letting one in would't be an issue but we scored 2 at Crewe and Charlton but still lost. Baldwin's now been caught out twice in two games as the last man just making basics mistakes. Whist our strikers lack experience, that's not really the case with the defenders.
