...in your opinion. The only thing that was clear is we weren’t good enough. The in and outs and whose responsibility it was should be shared out but the arguments between the managers and others tell me that it depends on who you listen to. UTG! Everything I said were facts, not opinions. Everything you said were concerning opinions not facts, young Jedi. 😁 Those things happened but the interpretation? That’s your opinion. If it was as black and white as you say I’d have thought TW would have gone completely. Whatever, it’s JBs responsibility now so let’s hope it works. 😉 UTG!

I don’t get the blood thirst for Widdrington getting sacked. It’s Wael having to fund it so if he values his contribution so be it. Widdrington doesn't know what he's talking about. He signed Hanlan and Ayunga after all, or was it the manager? Widdrington doesn't know what he's talking about. He signed JCH and Nickolson after all, or was it the manager? Correct me if I'm wrong but 1. Widdy was Head of Recruitment at this time, not DOF, so how many signings were there after he became DOF? One extra right back? 2. Does any manager not have control of which player he signs and if not I presume he would not pick the player to play in any matches anyway? Widdy for Rovers UTG

Sorry Barton has set himself up for this. He is instigating all this change. He has blamed many already. Therefore it is him setting expectations. He has said this is his aim therefore if he fails in getting promotion is he failing his own targets?
What happens if we end the season with no chance of playoffs, do we have another reset? Following relegation JB was filmed at the Mem talking to fans how he was sticking around and was looking to be the first manager to get a club promoted from tier 4 to tier 1 in the football pyramid. He forgot to say what his famous mate from across the river once said. Europe in 5 years. Expect great Expectations from JB

For the sake of clarity, if nothing else, the club would be wise to separate the roles each staff member has and what is expected of them. In the recent past those lines have been blurred and with it has come a no blame culture. TW has, not unnaturally taken all the credit for JCH when a closer look reveals that Coughlan coached him at Southend and doubtless saw his potential. Barton clearly has had a look at the structure of the club and decided that he will be the one to control who comes in and who leaves. Having seen how TW and BG both passed the buck regarding who was responsible then who can blame him.

Widdy for Rovers UTG Most of the fan base were delighted with our recruitment but now with the benefit of hindsight they are all rubbish. I still think a lot of them are good players or have potential to improve - not sure who is to blame for them failing to gel or work out as a collective. Anyway my point is that Wael knows him better than any of us and what he adds behind the scenes, he’s the one keeping the club afloat and if he wants to keep him fair enough. I just don’t get the anger towards him and this insistence he be sacked - it’s almost like a punishment beating or modern equivalent of being putting in the stocks which is going to help everyone feel better about themselves.

Will Tommy give Joey his little black book?
More serious, wasn't there some sort of scouting network set up my Tommy. Has that been wound-up anyone know?

I dont think they were rubbish...just too many. Two or three integrated into a proven squad would have been fine.

I see Wael's latest open letter seems to infer that TW will be responsible for arranging loans deals for the Development Squad players, does that mean that squad is effectively being wound down and it will no longer play any fixtures against other Development Squads, if so, perhaps that's why Mansell was made redundant?
