This is sad to learn and frankly I can understand why there are polarised views and opinions - as has been pointed out, we have had a couple of years of poor results, managers unable to get consistent performances and lack of progress on the one major thing I think pretty much all of us agree on - a new stadium. Add to that our various views on the managers we have employed over recent years and their capabilities etc, it’s bound to lead to strong opinions on all sides. What I cant understand is why and how irrespective of your view point that we can’t be respectful to one another. There is no need for the name calling, the aggression and the nastiness that seems to have prevailed over the last year or so. We are all (I would think) grown adults yet behave like kids in a playground - would we be like this or accept this behaviour from our kids etc? At the end of the day we all have the best interests of the club at heart, we are all Gasheads and we should be like family - supporting and being there for one another. We should be able to have different views and be able to discuss them in a reasonable way. This is about the 3rd time I’ve written something of this nature over the last few weeks…. Please can we all just try??? It shouldn’t be hard I've seen your efforts. It certainly hasn't gone unnoticed by myself. I have been trying to convey the same message and posted a couple of times similar requests over the last month or so. We should all be able to post our own opinions and be respectful towards other opinions that do and don't match our own. Of course challenge and debate but just no need to cross that line and get personal. But it is easy to do so behind a screen I guess. I just try to treat people over the internet how I would treat them face to face and how I would want to be treated. Of course when you've been attacked, I understand why people retaliate and sometimes I don't blame people for doing so. But people need to try a lot harder to do and be better. |

My good friend Gasheadblues has deleted his account on this forum. After being called dyslexic, semi litterateur, delusional and told to take some aspirins by no less than Oldie! In reply he advised Oldie to take the entire box of pills and congratulated him on being more decisive than JB and helping the forum on its way to the dogs. This final post was subsequently deleted by the mods. Shame on you I say, sums up what this place has become. For those that know Kev, they know him to be none of the things he was called. In fact never a nicer bloke could you meet, a highly intelligent successful businessman, an absolute gentleman and lifelong gashead to boot. His leaving this forum, as the title of this thread says, sums up what this place has become. I hope the mods do me and GHB the honour of not deleting this post of mine, which only contains the FACTS of why my good friend has deleted his account. Agreed an absolute top man! Please pass on my kindest regards and best wishes to him |

Once there was friendship and comradery between Gasheads but that's long gone. A few years back me and my mate both over 6 foot stood on the west terrace, behind us was a very angry short arsed bloke in his late 60s/ 70s who wanted to fight us for being taller then him and obscuring his view. I knew then that the friendly welcome I once enjoyed on the old North Terrace at Eastville was long gone. It's still the Gas but not as I knew it... Couldn’t you of put him on your shoulders to get a better view 😉 Bit dangerous when we celebrate a goal, isn't it? Oh, yes I see, carry on.... 😶 |

This was just before going to bed, after having a terrible week personally, it wasn’t an appropriate comment to read. |

I'm afraid that this place is really just a reflection of what BRFC seems to be atm. Let’s hope for some wins, a rise up the table and things will look better. Bl**** hell, I hate years with a 1 at the end! UTG! Sorry Warehamgas but I don't entirely agree. Winning would be great and I would be very pleased if we were but I don't think things will look better until JB has gone. As a personality he has divided opinion on here like no other appointment we have had. When he was appointed there were those that were avidly against the appointment and those prepared to put his character and criminal behaviour aside and give him a chance. Now of course because of his poor results record a lot that were happy to overlook his flaws are turning against him purely because of the football which appears to be compounding the division. |

We’ve not always shared the same views and likewise myself and LJG have had different views recently but in the main we’ve been able to challenge, debate, question etc pretty respectfully and reasonably…. |

I am a lifelong gasheads, and some of the posters on here should be ashamed, everyone has their own opinions, respect them don't abuse them even if you disagree, I very rarely post, as one of the first I posted I was accused of being a kiddie fiddler, just because of my user name,unbelievable Geoff.

Would have been funny if deliberate and I would not have been offended, I have a form of dyslexia with regards to writing down what people speak - for example. if someone reads out a phone number I always get the digits in the wrong order and need it repeating several times. If I am listening to an answerphone and there is information I need, I tend to have to listen to it over and over until I record it correctly |

Our fanbase has always been rife with pricks. Having Joey Barton in charge coupled with terrible form for 2 years has merely shown many people’s true colours, with the ability to act like children behind the safety of a computer/ phone screen.

Sean, you don’t have to agree. 😉 Thats the joy of a forum, we can disagree, which was part of my point, where we will have lots of opinions. We don’t have to agree but I hope we can disagree without the name-calling, insults and worse and do so with respect. Just like you have. 👍 But I think I’m right about this place getting better with better results, hence it reflects how BRFC are doing. And I do agree with your point regarding JB. But, tbh, I wasn’t wanting to go over old ground about JB being our manager. Enough has been said and I can’t add anything which hasn’t already been posted. So we have to wait now for the results of the court cases and then move on whichever way. But to an extent I think we saw the “divided opinions” with BG and Tis. Both through sheer frustration at giving up a top of league 1 position to where we are now. This division is not new with JB, just made far worse. UTG! |

Which neither is acceptable of course. Perhaps whoever said it can apologise and you can ask GHB to come back and he can apologise for his part and everyone move on like grown ups. And if people start acting like a grown up, it will make the mods life easier, it will make this place better for everyone to enjoy so people don't have to delete their accounts. Win Win for everyone. |
