I would be. Until he invaded Ukraine and started killing people there. UK did the same thing to Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Yemen. Lots of innocent people killed there, for what? That’s conveniently forgotten ! |

I find it odd that the USA published videos and photos of their drone and missile strikes in the Middle East, with suitably sad and serious faces from the military press people, but Russia does not seem to be doing the same, when I would have expected them to be doing a bit of a North Korean glorious war brainwashing thing on their population.
Is that because there's not enough to show, or there's no footage, or they don't want to, for whatever reason?
Not making any particular point here. Just curious.
The Gulf Wars were televised every evening, I seem to recall.

That's not happening on this thread though, is it? It's not hysteria either is it, just emotions coming to the service as we watch women and children being butchered by a despot,folk just want to do something or should we just sit around like the 3 brass monkeys? But innocent non western women and children are killed every day in wars around the world, and most of those are influenced by the west! I'm totally behind the Ukraine common people but they are being used in an ideological war the same as the majority Russians people. What do you mean by folk just want to do something? Is the something complain online, have a Ukraine flag Facebook picture or give up a surplus room that they wouldn't give up for a homeless person if their life depended on it? |

Perhaps they have 'forgotten' Putin in Syria or Chechnya... I’m not looking to validate ‘ anything Putin says or does. I too was on demos against the Iraq war and sat in on court cases in Bristol of protesters who took over a plane at Fairford. I trust no politician On the planet ! If Putin is a war criminal so are Bush and Blair . And of course two wrongs don’t make a right ! All power crazed loonies I m o 😩😫😫 |

The references to Bush and Blair are not relevant in the current context of Ukraine. In fact that fight, ours, is ongoing. Our fire should be aimed at the proper targets, the level of disinformation disseminated by our current government in incredulous. But don't mix it with Putin, who held his own version of the Nuremberg Rallies today. Truly horrific. We need to deal with it. We can go for the current lot later, as Gary Neville stated today. |
