Unsure what pirate posted as its probably to far to scroll back that far, but ive just been sent a video with locals in donetsk saying ukranian tanks and forces have been attacking them and blaming the russians..  Does the sender live in Moscow by any chance? Goes by the name of Nobby? |

Very brave, she faces up to 5 years under one law or perhaps up to 15 years under another. Thankfully she seems to be part of a growing band, however it may be not enough. I did watch an interview with a Ukrainian refugees talking to Fergal Keene on the BBC the other day. She is from a Russian family and explained what her Russia based sister told her, she said that Putin is rescuing them from their fascist government. Her response was no, they are not welcome and they are bombing and killing. Her sister refused to believe her over Putin and she is now ostracised. There has been and will continue to be a deluge of propaganda stories spewing from Russian State TV and it’s proxy outlets (RT, Sputnik etc.) about ‘Ukrainian Nazis’, ‘Genocide of Russian Speakers’, ‘Pro-Russian Separatists’, ‘American Bio Warfare Labs’, ‘NATO Expansion’ etc. etc. This is mainly intended to fire up the fears of the Russian people, keeping them ‘patriotic’, nostalgic, imperialistic and loyal to their saviour Putin. However there will also always be ‘Useful Idiots’ in The West who for reasons best known to themselves like to believe and play along with the Kremlin’s lies, slurs and conspiracy theories. They should be challenged. What Putin really fears is the realisation of the Russian people that freedom, democracy, European liberal values provide a better, healthier, more prosperous lifestyle than they will ever experience under his corrupt authoritarian dictatorship. He fears being assassinated as well he might. |

I know that no one is going to know what is really going on. We may find out in hindsight, or maybe not. All I know is similar things have happened in the last hundred years repeatedly but no one seems to acknowledge the links. First as tragedy, then as farce. |
