Youāre only all getting salty because all you do is read the paper and think you know it all. Then when something goes against that, you act like little playground bullies. Sadly for you, and club broadsheet, it makes no difference. You could put my windows through and youād still be wrong. Iāve been to Russia twice, I can speak basic Russian too. If you stated your credentials, my guess all any of you could say is āI read the BBC websiteā Great stuff , Gulf is back to mansplain how much more knowledgeable he is on this subject along with pretty much every other subject. Stuart do you think he will stop at Ukraine bearing in mind his aim is to roll NATO back to pre 1997 I'd normally say he'd stop at Eastern Ukraine with perhaps a puppet government installed for the rest, but his ramblings recently have come across unhinged. Not diplomatic, but Ben Wallace saying he's gone "Tonto" is probably accurate and scary. Sweden and Finland are looking at Nato membership, wonder how this will affect their choices. Edit: Unless the Ukrainian forces capitulate or the government surrenders, 150,000 troops is not going to be enough to take over the whole country, not by conventional wisdom anyway. They'd need two or three times that. The 150000 may just be assault troops they have enough manpower to secure the Country once the Ukrainian army has been dealt with. I wonder if our parents/grandparents in 37/39 thought Hitler would never push on post Rhineland etc and I wonder if we have that mindset now? If we think he will settle for Ukraine it will be a grave misjudgement,2008 Georgia,2014 Crimea etc,whilst it massively sticks in my throat that we let Ukraine a democratic Country go down we then have to use the pause to significantly reinforce the rest of Eastern Europe as a deterrent or I fear he will just keep on coming. |
