Yeah you could be right. maybe ive just got it very wrong and the Europeans just have very very bad taste in music. I havent bothered watching it for many years now after we had a number (of what I thought were) decent songs that flopped and saw the same countries giving each other maximum points every year Europeans is a very broad term. I think there is quite a lot of different culture and variety in Europe. I don't know what other countries think of it but I feel like we are a bit too dismissive of it in this country. Maybe not helped by the political voting and some of the crap we have sent out in recent years. Don't get me wrong there is a lot of rubbish songs in Eurovision as well but the winner/ones at the top usually are quite good IMO. I just looked it up, I stopped watching it when 'Lordi - Hard Rock Hallelujah (Finland 2006)' won. My god that was bad. Im into indie stuff personally so there isnt much for me in this competition

A great voice and song! We're third favourites by many bookies and deservedly so. Very excited. Norway (lol) have a cracking song. Think Ukraine will win - good song and, you know... the obvious. Yeha it is deservedly so. I think we will do much better than we have for a long time but not do as well as Sam deserves. I think we'll be about 5th or 6th at a guess. I also like Sweden, Ukraine and Spain. Norway and Serbia for the quirkyness value. Yes, Ukraine will def win. I can never remember a favourite so short but I still think it is value in a weird way, just can't see it getting beat! I completely agree. Sweden's song is fantastic. Shame Latvia didn't qualify - another quirky song! But perhaps there were already enough of those. Also wtf just realised The Rasmus are representing Finland tonight!! 19 years after their incredible song "In The Shadows" released.

Apparently its cup final day, Beeb trying hard to big it up but failing miserably as far as this footie fan is concerned! The powers that be and the elite have combined to devalue the old lady so much i barely have a passing interest. Gone are the days of wall to wall tv coverage from 11.00 am , even drawing an elite club means nowt now as you will only face a reserve or youth team, that philosophy even spread to championship now! No romance in todays finalist, just two of the elite, the only story of interest being that apparently Chelsea have a brother and sister playing in there respective finals, that's certainly one for the family album, apart from Chelsea, Liverpool fans any one else interested? As for this old traditionalist i am more interested in the multitude of play offs happening in the lower leagues, regards 'Victor'! Decent game of football , Liverpool so good on the ball most of the possession Chelsea very dangerous on the break and probably had the best chances.

Its about as exciting as an England friendly at Wembley, thankfully missed most of it due to the decent weather, far better atmosphere when Leicester were playing.

You just know we will finish near the bottom as always. despite what Sam said there is obvious dislike for the UK in this thing and 'friendly' voting by other nations Basically its a load of old tosh these days No, we won't finish near the bottom. It is very political but we also send in some crap. Last year was awful. I think we'll be in the top 10 but finish below where we should. We are second favourites tonight behind Ukraine, we are second favourite because of the UK's support and leadership regarding Ukraine

My biggest criticism with the FA Cup is that once upon a time we could dream of getting to a final and winning it, but now we can't. We did dream in 77/78. Beat Southampton at Eastville in 4th round, technically beat Ipswich also in the 5th but for a bent ref. We’d have had Millwall in the quarter finals who Ipswich thrashed 6-1 I think and went on to win the cup. That could have been our year. I was at both the Southampton game (best pitch invasion ever), and the Ipswich game (first time I'd seen an orange ball). I agree, that was our best chance in living memory.

Absolutely,Southampton game probably my favourite ever at Eastville. And we were robbed of a perfectly legitimate goal against Ipswich. Went to the replay at Ipswich on one of the 40 supporters club coaches. Quite a sight seeing them all lined up behind the Tote End before the long journey eastwards. Seem to remember our driver deciding to drive through the centre of London rather than going round it. A very long journey.

Remember being in a convoy of about 20 coaches when the Duke beat Derby - 1st time a 4th division team (in old money) beat a Premiership side away.
Always thought he was worth a couple of million at least but the club HAD to sell him for an initial £800k. Let's hope we are not ever in the same boat.

This is why I don't watch top level English football anymore, bores me to absolute tears. At one point England had a friendly and I had to google an England player to see who he played for.

Liverpool have now purchased 9 of them, a big congratulations to Sky, BT Sport and Amazon who paid for this to happen.
One of the top four Premier League sides won again, we move on.

In response to the title of this thread, any game for the foreseeable future is gonna seem sh**e after the wonder we all experienced this time last week. UTG!

What an overrated footballer Mason Mount is. 6 wembley final losses in a row for him😬😬 That is what I call a convenient stat. If Loftus Cheek had a brain cell then could have won it in extra time with Mount's great flick on to him. Mason Mount is a very good footballer.

What an overrated footballer Mason Mount is. 6 wembley final losses in a row for him😬😬 Yet has already scored 30 goals from Midfield at the highest level the youngest player to do so with a CL medal all at the age of 22. 99.9% of players will be lucky to play in a Wembley final even twice in their whole careers, let alone 6 times by the age of 22 as well. Top, top player along with a few others that will finally win a major tournament for England in the not too distant future im sure

Any condemnation for the amount of pyro in the Liverpool end? Since there was a serious meltdown on FB over a smoke bomb in the Blackthorn end a few weeks ago, I wonder if those types of people shook a fist at the TV yesterday?
