Great stuff from Wael. Such a shame some people do their best to put people down all the time. Glad he has stuck with us anyway and home they can see what he is about. UTG

How lucky are we? A lot of things push our buttons regarding the Club, but I think we should all pull this article up and read it again before we go moaning, just as a reminder as to how much we've got to be thankful for with Wael as our owner.
Thanks for everything you've done Chief and are continuing to do for this great Club of ours.
Up the Gas!!!

Absolutely fantastic from our owner this. Let's hope we can show our gratitude with record season ticket sales for next season.

I find the reaction to any criticism of WAQ hilariously over the top. He owns a football club, has any owner of any club ever avoided criticism?
Lansdown, over the river, gets pelters despite building them a stadium they own out of his own pocket. Abramovich used to get a wee bit of stick when Chelsea went bad, despite everything.
WAQ seems remarkably thin skinned.
The facts are, yes, he's put a load of cash in, some converted to capital, some not, and, without some sort of rich benefactor, as with 90% of the EFL, we'd have had some trouble in the COVID times. But then you have to remember that owners were protecting their own assets in these times.
The training ground is all well and good, again. But the club loses money hand over fist, hasn't moved forward on the pitch in 7 years, and for all the excitement over a statement saying a drawing of a stadium may come soon, we're still at the Mem.
From all accounts he's a nice guy and he cares, which is lovely, and he's doing an OK job, but the reaction on here and social media to any view that isn't gushing praise of the bloke is hilariously OTT. Anyone who says anything critical is immediately a better or not a proper fan.

Great letter, enjoyed reading every word. How people feel the need to abuse this guy is truly unbelievable, they should hang their heads in shame. Some things may not come to fruition but for the first time we seem to be aiming high which is fantastic news. I’m sure there will be a few who will spin this letter into a negative but I for one think it’s fantastic. Well done everyone at BRFC. ⚪️🔵⚪️🔵

Read the room, a little bit? As in, never ask questions or disagree? I've reflected on your post and you're entitled to your view on Wael. But I think your post was an effort to immediately gaslight the substantial support Wael will get. And with respect- what was your question? Because asking a question would be insightful.

I'm glad you think I'm entitled to my views. Gaslighting, christ alive. I was reacting to his repeated statements in the letter about criticism - which any owner of any club will get, and he actually gets very little, and the reaction on places like this to anyone who dares give him any. My point was that the 2% of the fanbase who ask questions of the bloke get treated like they're trying to rip him and the club down. We can make a questions for Wael thread if you'd like but I'd hate to take up any more space on this touching thread of tributes to him.

Is "reacting" to someone saying they've found something hard and implying there unreasonable- not gaslighting?

Imagine it’s pretty awful bearing in mind the same fans give Pete the nicest guy trying to deal with tickets an absolute torrid time.

Read the room, a little bit? As in, never ask questions or disagree? How about the likes of Swissgas and KP simply making up untruths to support their agenda?

As for WAQ, what a man, ledge in fact. From his reputation I immediately thought of KM. Anyway, we are very lucky to have Wael. I know it may be an age thing and people tell me that's just how football is, but I just don't like the fact that we are so relient on one person and we overspend so much. Personally, I just can't fathom £3.5 million as a figure, let alone that amount as an annual loss, so it's great to read his open letter. I don't think we can blindly follow the "if you build it, they will come" mantra, so good to read steps are in place to build the infrastructure season by season.
