Read an article today that Blackburn Rovers were considering JCH as a possible striker target this summer - article went on to say that if they thought his fee too high they might turn to Aaron Collins ....
Would that seem right ... Aaron a cheaper option to JCH ?

Would that seem right ... Aaron a cheaper option to JCH ? Also hardly like for like either. JCH probably would fetch around £4m, down from the £8m we maybe hoped for a couple of seasons back. Aaron possibl £2-4M, but sounds like paper/twitter talk. Very different types of players. Maybe go for both! |

We could be quids in if a couple of championship clubs see Clarke Harris as an option. Be lovely if he went for £6-8 million as we get 20 percent (I think)
Collins hasn’t played that level yet and would be seen as more of a gamble. I imagine the club would have to consider bids of £2 million plus.
If both happen, will JB have a top 8 budget to play with?

I can't see how a team can consider AC if they can't afford JCH as ones a typical No 9 the other a No 10, unless JB's been playing AC in the wrong position this season. |

Imo no need to sell Aaron; more chance of getting promotion with him than without him, apparently he has two years left on his contract, more chance of getting promotion with Azza playing than letting him go and thinking Lofty is going to fire BRFC into the Championship. To be fair mate a lot on here think our non scoring strikers aren’t the issue and it’s the fault of the midfield for not providing more tap ins, which I find bizzare. Loft and Coburn in present context aren’t good enough for top 6 league 1, and Marquis is just about good enough for a squad place for top end league 1. |

But we are Rovers, will go for 2million...if he goes. I hope he stays and we sign some good footballers to play with him. A big pacey forward to play alongside AC would be great in this league. |

That is the scenario that i would like to see and, for once, keep our better players, at least until January. There is also never a guarantee that transfer fees would be made available to strengthen the squad. If i remember rightly then i think we had accounts that showed transfer fees being offset against tax but , as always, i could be wrong. We are Rovers after all and should have learned that nothing comes quick or easy, for us |

He is not having tantrums so we can hold out for a decent offer, he can go to another level quite easily.
Aaron is a class act, he can play for Wales and a bottom half premier club, still learning, great feet and attitude 4 million no less.

Football is all about opinions, that's what's great about it, and we sometimes make mistakes like letting Zamora leave. |

Think Collins could do well in the Championship. He’s extremely comfortable on the ball. Can use both feet and a natural eye for a goal. Few things to polish, but still young enough. A much more rounded player than JCH. Both in the same team though would be lethal :-) |

A much more rounded player than JCH. Both in the same team though would be lethal :-) next level up with better players around him and not double marked.with his ability he would be on a win win |
