To an extent it is his fault. If he wasn't requesting illegal sexually explicit photos and willing to pay money for them the child wouldn't have had the funds to maintain a drug habit. That, my friend, is a complete misunderstanding of addiction (at worse) or a habit at best. He would, if addicted, found a way to fund his addiction. I understand what you're saying Oldie, however if a child of yours obtained monies from a high profile public figure, who knew they were committing a crime, and your child used that money and overdosed on drugs would you seriously take the same view? I know I wouldn't. |

I know I wouldn't. more stuff is/has come out been alleged, but there is some very weird framing of the stories from The Sun The first person (who denies any wrong doing by the presenter) happened and sources close to the Sun A police force apparently came forward to say they looked at it and found no wrong doing. However I can absolutely understand concerned parents saying the money (for photos when over 18) was fuelling the habit and understand why they would contact the BBC The 2nd and apparently 3rd allegations, revolve around 20 something adults, who met up with the presenter. No accusations of any wrongdoing (other than maybe breaking a lockdown and a few messages of unnecessary pressure to meet again) The presenters career is probably over and possibly their marriage/relationship, but most of the stories revolve around consenting adults. The whole thing is weird, but it's the alleged drug habit of the first person that appears to be problematic, which is as much down to the failings of the BBC to find out what was going on after the parents reached out to get them to stop even though nothing was unlawful |

When has it been a requirement for a bride to take their husbands surname? Don't get me wrong I'm certainly not in agreement with what he has done and if proven a crime has been committed he deserves everything he gets and should be sacked by the BBC. On your second point I find that a bit rich coming from someone who by their own admission (via health chat) fully supports people with mental health issues. Huw Edwards has suffered bouts of depression for 20+ years. |
