So it seems as though JBs days may be numbered at Rovers. I wanted to take a moment to thank him for his service. He was a steal from Harrogate and played a huge part in our promotion season. Yes he had a whoopsy in him, what lg2 keeper doesn’t? He is a character and no doubt had an influence on that squad.
Thank you “Belly” good luck in your next team.

I rate him, but no manager can put up with any player who throws their toys out of the pram whenever they're dropped. He made a few mistakes last season which cost us, so a few games out of the team were needed to get him to refocus. I personally think he had to deal with more than his fair share of deflected goals and being unsighted last season, but that's no excuse for petulance.

Feel for him. Been great for us. But had a very poor group of defenders in front oh him last season.
His saves massively outweigh any blunders, turning defeats into draws.
I actually think he has just had a child born so hopefully he is just being given some time for family.

I like Belshaw and the huge role he played in the promotion season. Unfortunately league two is probably his level, he looked out of his depth last season for me and if we want to progress we need quality in all positions. If you do move on then thank you and good luck

If things have turned toxic, it's best for all parties to part.
He can get a very decent career elsewhere, and with a heavy heart because I still see him as our senior keeper, I guess he must move on...

He’s been made a scapegoat for poor defensive errors

One of the best shot stoppers I’ve seen for a long time. His display at Hillsborough sticks in the mind. A good servant but time to move on.

If he is off them I would hope it's not under a cloud and he remembers his time here fondly.

If you torture data for long enough it'll tell you anything. I should know, as that's my job.
Belly's a good keeper. Dropped a few clangers last season but then again he hardly had much in the way of quality in front of him. He was exposed far too often and his confidence took a knock.
If stuff's happened off-pitch which has put JAB off then that's something else. But I think he's worth sticking with based on what I've seen.

He won’t want to be no2 and I understand. If a 2 L2 side comes in for him then good luck to him. He made me happy and I hope he is.

Aha fair enough mate, for me personally he was our best player in League Two, however last year he was off the pace too much, especially goals conceded from distance. Wish him all the best weather he goes or not.

Substitute keeper is the worst job in football, you don't even get to jog along the touchline every half hour. Belly at his age will not want that. He craves the fans adulation and will get that elsewhere.

Didn't someone say he was going to play when Cox is on international duty?
Is Cox is likely to be on the bench when Trafford plays for the u21s, so that could mean quite a few games he could miss.
If Belly leaves, I'm not sure I would want Hall to start, so we would need another keeper.

Jed ward will have a recall clause in his loan if we need him back.

If Belly leaves, I'm not sure I would want Hall to start, so we would need another keeper. I believe we’d get an emergency loan. Hall and Ward don’t count as ‘professional’ because they haven’t been named in a professional starting 11 more than 5 times so we’d be eligible. Saves us wages where otherwise we’d have an experienced pro sitting on the bench. A few clubs are starting to go down this route.

If you mean Barton's ban, then I suppose that's similar, although more serious, and he's received a suitable punishment and we can all move on.
