With Ben Foster retiring at Wrexham - I wouldn't be surprised to see Belly rock up in North Wales. L2 quality.

Best of luck to Belly, imo seeing most Rovers games home and away, I believe him to be a very capable keeper in Div 1 and 2. I do not understand why the player who in no small part was responsible for getting BRFC promoted, was duly awarded player of the year, regularly heard the Thatcher's and travelling supporters chanting his name, gets roundly abused by a small number on here; its ridiculous, when Cox is not available and or makes a mistake, loses form, who is going to keep goal, I know, the young lad Matthew Hall with little or no experience. Really.

Really. It could have been Belshaw standing in …. But he’s thrown his toys out of the pram . Players get dropped in football all the time for ( supposedly) better players , that’s the whole point of football to try and improve the team. I’ve lost a lot of respect for Belshaw and his antics and the quicker he’s out of the club the better.

He's obviously on his way, and I wish him well.

Some clubs i was at I was a nailed on starter, sometimes I had a poor game and got replaced. At other clubs I wasnt a starter and when I did play I ran my socks off and tried my best to show I was better than who started in front of me and to break into the starting 11. Belly might have had his nose put out of joint for not being an outright number one, but we play 50 odd games of football a season and at some point he would have gotten a chance. Who knows, Cox clanger Saturday might have been enough for JB to bring him in this week had he not chucked his teddy about.

Really. Think that's spot on. I hope that we don't come to regret alienating a quality keeper, although it appears that Belshaw could of dealt with the situation better. All the best Belly.

I am concerned about keeper situation. I don’t like very young keepers.

Cox has looked decent so far and worthy of the shirt. Belshaw is undoubtedly a good keeper though and has given 100 percent in every game he has played. Certainly competent at L1 level and very good in L2. In reality Barton has shown he will do whatever is necessary to move us forward and make us a better team. Tough on Belshaw but am certain Cox will play at the highest level.
Hope Belshaw gets fixed up and plays week in week out as he deserves that.

Really. Also cox has been great with his feet but his shot stopping so far hasn’t been that great , I honestly think Belshaw would have saved around half of the goals Cox has conceded.

Amazing really how many people have heard one side of the story and passed judgement. Incredibly naive.
He will be at a new club within the next 5 days and when he is will have the opportunity to put forward his take of events. Suspect a few will feel a little silly with some of their comments when that happens..

Its too early to tell if Cox is actually any better than Belshaw. If we look at our CB's this season compared to last season, the difference is like night and day. It would have been interesting to know how Cox would have coped with that defence in front of him last sesaon. Likewise, I am sure Belshaw would have appreciated having better defenders in front of him this season if he was playing.
