Joe has wanted to play 3 at the back from day one. Tried and failed several times. We just didnt have the players capable of doing it well enough. After the window close we may have a squad able to do it (?) Wilson,Taylor,Crama back 3 might work. With Hoole ,Connelly and Friend as back up (?) 3-4-3 Or 3-4-1-2 Or 3-4-2-1 Or 3-2-4-1 Or 3-1-4-2 Plenty of options. Iād hoped heād long given up on the idea of 3 at the back. We always look our best in a 4-2-3-1 (imo) which allows us to play to our strengths which now more than ever is our superb attacking options. |

I agree but JB may see it as an option of getting another attacking player on the pitch. If he sees Sinclair, Thomas and Vale as possible wing backs then by playing 3 at the back with 2 CDMs then he's got 5 attacking players on the pitch instead of 4. Would definitely be a we'll score more than you attitude! |

I thought the two exclamation marks were a clue I was only joking. I assume they already knew full well that the Mem isn't the best ground in L1. |

He played there for us a few times last season, as did Evans Ok, but it's not exactly a position he or Evans are comfortable in. Vale is. Does this Vale lad play basically anywhere except in goal? š |

Does this Vale lad play basically anywhere except in goal? š Most of these top flight academy graduates can play in most positions tbh, they all obviously have their favoured ones but from what ive seen of the PL2 they do like to move them about gettingthem used to playing in different positions. Defo an 11, 10 potentially an 8 kind of midfielder this kid looks. Good close control and great skills, it'll either be another Charlie Colkett but from the looks of it we could even have an improvement on Elliot Anderson. Fingers crossed for the latter. |

Well, we had a Premier League player in League 2 so why not a Championship level player in League 1. Sounds like Chelsea are hoping we can provide a similar career path leg up that Anderson got here. If we do sign him I reckon that McCormick will be off, on loan probably, as that will leave us with a glut of options in the AM department. |

True and at 19 Anderson was Flying and Battling for Newcastle Place that looks like he is albeit is a regular squad player and came on Saturday albeit for 3 minutes or so but a regular squad player all the same. Harvey Vale was tried and then went to championship and seems to be working his way backwards. As you say its not all about the Chelsea name, it was only a couple of years ago our u15's & 16's went down to Chobham and beat them. |

Seems like a standard recall option in January might be included. So if it doesn't go to plan can reassess, or we get worried that it's gone so well we will lose him early haha

Hope we havent promised a percentage of starts/minutes but also hope he is good enough to not make this an issue any way!
