Seriously, if this is about the South Stand reporting, why is Joey bothered about that, surely he should brush that off as not his remit The reporting of the team has been perfectly fair and positive so far this season. I absolutely agree with you on this. I think The new guy, Hargreaves, has been perfectly fair. Really don't know what Joey is upset about but whatever it is I think it's a mistake to refuse to speak to the Post and Joey should reconsider his stance.

Read Ollie’s book. He has mentioned how he had coming togethers with the Evening Post as it then was (or perhaps Radio Bristol) and had the journos down to the training ground for comments which he didn’t agree with on the players in match day ratings. No different really - JB has obviously seen something he takes issue with and has responded to it. how dare the reporters offer any sort of opinion. Anyway, the reporting of the team this summer/start of the season has been perfectly fair and positive. If JB is annoyed over the South Stand, than he should be ignoring that anyway. If we don't want negative reporting, than there are plenty of things the club could do to rectify that The Post have stayed far away from the legal issues other than reporting the trial days themselves Ollie’s example was where a reporter had given players who had underperformed high ratings and those who had played well poor ratings. And suggested they should have gone off and played for City instead to have a greater impact. Obviously in JBs case it won’t be the same but it could be something similar whereby he feels a comment is disruptive to the team. It’s not as if managers at different levels don’t do this. Alex Ferguson for instance.

"I’ve decided I won’t be speaking to the Bristol Post. I’m not contractually obligated to. I don’t feel their coverage of our football club is balanced. I don’t believe they support our football club or team in a positive manner. I believe they always use negativity when they refer to our club. Unless things improve, they will get nothing directly from me" Fine by me, stopped buying and reading the Evil Post years ago. Utg

Good riddance to the rag full stop, about as respected and relevant as the BBC.

seriously, genuinely interested. Outside of the South Stand Issue (Which should be of little concern t the manager other than wanting an atmosphere) What has been the negative reporting? Indeed. I don't read the paper so don't know (or care) but this sounds like a load of unnecessary nonsense. If you don't care, then nothing for you to worry about then, surely? Lets just get behind the team. If this 'Bunker' mentality makes the team better as a result, then I'm all for it. I'm sure Alex Ferguson did the same.

Ferguson refused to talk to the BBC because of a story they ran on his son. Has anyone got a link for these terribly negative stories yet?

Weird to reference Ollie, the bloke wrote for the post for 3 years and wrote many many many negative articles about the club during that period.

Spot on. Dont get this at all. It certainly wont be about any city bias. Yes it is underfunded click bait horrible website nonsense but so what, all local "papers" are. Some people on here would turn on their close family if Joey had a problem with them Exactly this, Joey could come out and say 'I hate middle children' and some on here's first instinct will be 'Go get the shotgun my love, we need to take little Johnny into the woods, don't forget to say your goodbyes'

Good riddance to the rag full stop, about as respected and relevant as the BBC. Hey, be fair. Nobody is aware of the evening post protecting pedophiles and covering up grooming as yet so don’t lump them in with them

So most don't even read the rag, or even care about it.
Yet still want a whinge.

All the "dont read it" people are aware of the literally hundreds of links from here to articles in the post? Some decent insight from Frosty previously and a decent start from Dan. Just cos JB says something, no need to all rush to lick his ar5e first!

There isn’t an attitude, it’s a question? Well.Im.reading it as attitude, I don't know about that, so he's been slagging Rovers off, what did he say? That sounds like it’s your problem for reading it that way then. There were several articles that “Ollie” wrote for the post that were less than complimentary about the ownership of Rovers and the club. Mainly around the time he wanted the job and didn’t get it.
