Iโd shag him. There, Iโve said it. Me too. Again. My favourite ever Rovers manager by far. ๐๐ดโโ ๏ธ Gerry first time for me still.

Me too. Again. My favourite ever Rovers manager by far. ๐๐ดโโ ๏ธ Gerry first time for me still. Gerry for me too, DC firmly in 2nd. Although he was only manager for just over a year Denis Rofe had us playing the best Football and probably the best Rovers team I've seen. If he was appointed before the season instead of Martin Dobson we could very well of got promoted into the new Premier League. He maybe in my top 3.

But for pure "getting Rovers" and being an absolute diamond of a human being, it's Darrell for me.๐๐ดโโ ๏ธ

Much as I liked Gerry F mark 1 and Don Megson, and indeed others, the DC promotion back into the League gets him my all-time favourite vote. We might still be in that league, playing Oxford City (no disrespect to them) but for DC.

Think we only lost once after January to Tranmere if my memory's correct.
I can't remember exactly how many points they were in front, but City were way clear of us at one point.
Great times indeed.

Gerry Francis's blue and white army! And how about, Gerry, give us a wave, Gerry, Gerry, give us a wave! And he did! Wonderful, wonderful times.

Think DC s appointment and our manager change almost happened at same time , wonder if DC would have ended up back here if timing had been a little different? certainly doing brilliant job at Cheltenham.

Spoke to him at the start of the season when he came to watch us v Barnsley. He said never say never and he would like to come back but only if it didn't ruin the legacy of his first stint. Personally I think he'd love to come back.

It clearly would ruin his legacy unless we had new mega bucks owners, as he'd just bumble along in L1 before getting sacked. We simply don't have the budget to compete at the top.

Gerry Francis gave us not only promotion to what is today the championship; he built a team who would regularly beat the Sh*t home and away, not seen the like since; today I would certainly have DC in charge over "its all their fault" Taylor.

Did we have a long stretch of 2-1 wins during the run in or is my memory playing tricks?
