What great news!! Surely it's true?  We can have a little 'don't like the location' meltdown again. All those who didn't like UWE because it was too far from the centre, were replaced by all those who didn't like the FM because it was too close to the centre. Now we can start all over again. 👍 |

Rumour around here is -
Fruit Market to relocate to Hillside Gardens, the UWE Sports facility at Hambrook.
UWE will then share with Downend Cricket and Tennis Club and Shaftesbury Crusaders site.
Bristol Rovers and IKEA staying where they are.
Bristol City Council selling all their city centre sites and moving lock stock and barrel to the FM in 2026.

No doubt our new owners would have been told about the UWE by Wael, not beyond the realms of possibility they might be investigating if it’s worth another go. Nothing would surprise me these days. UWE, FM, Lyde Green, the Mem, even Twerton Park. |

I'll make one up based on rumours back in the day of UWE plans.
University didn't get a big grant for sport as they never got a stadium they could use on non match days.
They've dropped the asking price on one bit of land that they wanted silly money for.
