The buck always stops with the manager, how many needless red cards have players picked up under JB, we've had two in just two away games. Fortunately for JB 6 of our next league/FA Cup games are now at home with only 3 away, so that gives him some breathing space to put a run of decent results together. you're seriously blaming JB for the sending off, I've heard it all now Wood is an experienced player, I really don't see his behaviour being influenced by JB. Sounds like he was frustrated with the time wasting, and reacted.

We keep losing away to poor sides (not table wise) be glad when we have everyone back to pick from!

The disease of planned keeper injuries and the total lack of wanting to entertain has truly filtered down to this level.fair play to Burton for their win but like a lot of low block teams they bore the pants of having to watch them. Another example of the footballing authorities taking the p1ss out of the paying supporters. Every match a designated player (always the keeper as it gives the ref no choice but to stop the game) goes down injured to allow a team talk. Perhaps it would stop if when a player is getting treatment all the other players must stand in the centre circle? Agree with that, it doesn't seem that long ago lineman used to stop players getting instructions from their manager.

Even without JCH surely a side with a top 10 budget can do better than get hammered 4-1 at Burton, who probably have one of the lowest budgets in L1. We didn't get hammered. 4-1 was not reflective of the game. 4-1 is a hammering, scoreline wise, regardless of the performance.

Pathetic today… Totally bullied and intimidated on and off the ball - Burton are crap yet out battled, out manoeuvred and out thought us. Cox - 4 Awful distribution and shot stopping seems beyond him Gibbons -4 - Added little if anything Taylor -5 - At fault for one of the goals not his best game Grant - 5 Seemed unsure at times, poor on the ball Vale -4 Rinsed constantly in first half -looked better in his proper position second half Woods - 5 Not much positive and pathetic Red card Evans - 6 One of the few to have a go at least. Ward -4 Poor distribution added little. Martin -4 - Out bullied by the two central defenders . Collins -5 Assist for the goal and not much else. Sinclair - 4 chance to shine and blew it Of the subs - Only Finley worth a mention Ref -4 L1 Standard - crap decisions Burton 6 - Not good at all - hoodwinked the ref over and over - Can shoot though . Barton - 3 - Why chose Ward over Finley ? Tactics are one dimensional and never accepts the blame. Really have little confidence in him and wouldn’t be sad if he was moved on . Cheers Claremont The games I have seen where we come up against physical sides we always struggle. We definitely need someone like Millwall Tone who can stand up to them.

Fine if you like just to have a result but not for me.

I’ve been a football obsessive for over forty years but this dark arts bullshit, feigning injuries and refs thinking they’re a bigger part of games than players makes me think I’ll have turned my back on football completely within the next couple of years.

Well it’s been a cracking day so far. Got absolutely stuffed by South Africa at the cricket. Got absolutely stuffed by sh**ty Burton. The rugby is next, what could possibly go wrong 😂 Page 18 of this thread already, not surprising plenty to come yet after a loss from the Barton out brigade.

Just got back (staying in Buxton) and most of my frustration is with their time wasting and with Woods for his reaction. Felt we were in the ascendency and that’s why they tried to take the momentum out of the game by feigning injuries. But had woods stayed on reckon we would have got something from the game or at least had a v good chance.
It wasn’t terrible but it was another massive failure to handle sh**ty lower league shenanigans and an awful result. A sending off that could have a big impact on our season especially as he’s out for three games now.

We have been hammered by injuries. But we were well on top when Woods foolishly got sent off, so we can't really blame injuries for today's loss.

Another player out for 3 games now just when we need as many fit players as we can get.

He saw less of the ball when ward was in the middle with him in the 1st half as they occupied the same area. Should have started with Bogarde instead of ward who is a bid disappointment as a supposed championship player

Really disappointing today, it seems we’re so close to being a good side but can’t seem to capitalise when it matters. I still think we’ve got what it takes to be a top ten side eventually but those errors and bits of indiscipline are proving costly at present.

We started off well but the 2 goals we concede are really soft. We’ve given it away cheaply in the final third and when the balls come back and crosses have come in I thought the centre halves should have dealt with them better . Clearly the game changes massively on the red card because we were well on top and looked like scoring I thought. But I felt that Barton got the 2 subs right at half time. Sinclair looked well off it and Vale was getting absolutely murdered down the left. But when he went to the right wing he was having much more joy than Sinclair and was more of a threat, whilst on the other side gibbons was dealing with the threat of their right winger much better than vale did by winning his battles and he also got himself forward to create some chances too. Until the red I thought woods was doing well in midfield but it totally finished us off and there was never going to be a way back after that. I felt Taylor seemed to get worse once he started making mistakes with his distribution. Coxs kicking wasn’t as good as usual either. Collins was ever a threat, as was Evans, but a couple of times they elected to shoot when we had players in wider areas and arguably better positions. How unlucky were we when the ref blew for a head injury the moment the ball was crossed for vale to finish early in the second half……. If only he’d waited a second. I couldn’t help but notice what a strange lopsided formation we played with for most of the game. When we had the ball the left back and right winger went as high as possible, leaving us with 3 at the back. Which at times just left us going right and left at the back, constantly looking for openings. You sit there and hear the groans in the crowd, wanting the players to launch it forward but clearly this is how theyre told to play. At times it makes for a very boring spectacle. I know it ended up being an absolute dicking after the red but I felt Collins and gibbons were the pick of the bunch and until his red Wods was playing well. I wonder what tinkering were going to see on Tuesday?

We have 3 fit midfielders so it will be a 3 of Finley Bogarde and Evans Sinclair was useless today so it will be vale Collins and Martin up top. Hopefully hunt is back if not will be gibbons crama Taylor and grant as the back 4 I reckon.

We had similar games last season, Accrington was a prime example, horrible game and we were battled off the park. That is what this league is like, always has been. We need players who can handle it. JB needs to learn that if we are to get out of this division.
