It's not down to judgement it's down to players learning the rules, there was zero reason for Wood's to lead with his arm yesterday, apart from to try to injure his opponent and he even failed at that. You're just trying to deflect from the reason we lost, we conceded two cheap goals, wasted chances at the other end, then got a cheap red. It's been a similar story since last January, not just yesterday or the last couple of away games. Even if we win our next two home games we'll probably still lose at Reading. It’s far more likely (imo) that it was more a case of self preservation. If you think he deliberately set out to injure an opponent you are either a mind reader or know his personality. Like I’ve said on another thread this isn’t just about yesterday and nothing about deflecting from the result - I’m fed up of week in week out watching international, prem, championship, league one games where referees go out of their way to be centre of attention and deny paying supporters the opportunity to watch a fair 11 v 11 contest.

Not a mind reader but Woods was absolutely seething with the ref and keeper shortly before the sending off. When I saw him throw his arm out it seemed pretty obvious it was in frustration.

Yes if you are going to go in with an elbow at least make it count

Stop making excuses. A general thread about refs fine.

I’ll post my opinions when and where I like thanks. Has it been overturned yet 🤣 Wouldn’t have expected it to be as I think I’ve mentioned elsewhere. Doesn’t mean I don’t think it should have been a red card in the first place and that refs are way too keen to dish out red and yellow cards which continues to ruin matches as an entertainment.
