Worst I've seen us play this season. Happy with a point and looking forward to watching Martin's goal back. UTG In fairness , it was class

I think throughout the club it’s truly only Barton/ Gorringe and Wael who think we have a chance of promotion… and the latter two are deluded by Barton’s Scorsese words of wizardry.
It’s slowly becoming obvious that whilst this squad is in the main an improvement on last season it ain’t top six material. We are still carrying three or four … Hoole… Gibbons… Finley … the carry crew tonight.
Brown is not the same player I saw at Exeter - way too ponderous on the ball. Others just not top end L1 -
My hopes for the season are firmly lowered 12th -10th would be a big step forward…. But I sense we will be closer to 16th .

Crap performance, Grant was laughably bad at left back, at least that was quickly rectified, hopefully Friend can find fitness and stay fit.
Not a good point, now a must win Saturday.

5 points from relegation. If you add back Wigan's deducted points, 2 points from relegation. Obviously those points won't be added back on, which is just as well.
Time is starting to run out for JB, unless he is absolutely bullet proof, which I fear he was under Wael. But the new owners presumably aren't stupid or naive and will be watching the situation in their own very very quiet way.
Still time to turn it around of course. Win the game in hand and we're 4 points off the playoffs! It's very tight so far.
But we're clearly not firing, not scoring, and not delivering. Despite the nice football, which seems to me to be pointless (excuse the pun) if it doesn't produce an end result. Collins still isn't the player he was and nobody else seems to have stepped up in his place.
To those who say keep the faith, I would just ask them what leads them to believe it will get better rather than worse? We seem to be in decline at the moment.

Other teams above us also have games in hand on 6th so no guarantee if we win it we will be 4 points off of it.

Just got back..
The natural sprinkles on tonight ! Are these the first fans to sit in our end!? Excellent BC tribute..
Anyhoos....onto less important things. We perrenially struggle against clubs that lack as much resources and crowds as us, and more importantly the very flattening, sorry, very flatulent, sorry, very flattering SE.
But I have to say, they looked by far the better team on the night and we were lucky, unlucky and lucky. If that makes sense!?(!). I think our side will be happier with the point.. SE as much as I don't like him has constructed a very decent physical, first to the ball and generally good quality all over the pitch outfit. They attack with tempo, they guard off the ball well and their defence is miserly. Well done, Stevenage!
I particularly liked Forster Caskey (a delight to see, my m o m) who appeared to ping a ball exactly where he wanted at will, causing us problems from set pieces....one hit the post from header late on, another produced a brilliant save from our keeps.
Which brings us on to both goals I saw as keepers error.
We had a woeful finishing evening. Were we kicking with helium? Were we heading with French helium? Kramer v Kramer could have had 2, but they missed just as many chances so I guess we'll greedily harvest a point and quickly move on..
Someone said once a good sign not playing well and picking up points?
Tonight I witnessed lethargic, little interplay, and Italian tank style football....off the ball we were hurried, displaced and dishevelled. Passes went astray and poor basics made us look whimpered in first half.
Second half, we spruced the house up a bit and tried to huff puff our way around, but to no avail. The namesake Vale looked more positive going forward until the goal out of nothing....yea yea it's not that special: most of us have had a lob on before at the footy!
Nice to hear the Mem singing again!
But we played poorly and desperately need a finisher as it's embarrassing the goals to chances ratio..
We'll do it all again Saturday, same sh!t different day...

I'm just not seeing an improvement to warrant all this "faith" being purported by his supporters. Hope, sure. But faith? Faith implies you believe it - and I see no evidence to support any belief we'll be up there at the end of the season.
Right now, we look much more likely to be fighting relegation that fighting for promotion.
We need at least 6 points from the next 3 games otherwise it's time to move on.
There are sooo many better options available.

Post match Barton…
1. Cox was fouled for their goal … 2. A travesty if we had lost… 3. We should have had a penalty for hand ball .. 4. We deserved a win … 5. Called Steve Evans a weeble 🙊 6. Pleased with second half effort ..
Not sure what game he watched … I think I only agree with point 5 .

Joey thinks it’s a travesty we didn’t win, calls Steve Evans ‘the fat man’ live on radio Bristol
Another low for him & the club

That really was awful from Rovers, but to be fair Stevenage were no better and had it not been for our own defender clattering our Goalkeeper we could have won which just shows the state of this division. We were poor, but Stevenage are experts at spoiling and making good sides look poor. Draw was not a great result for us , but a fair result on the night. I cant see how Evans was MOM on Player, Cox saved us tonight and was easily my MOM.

see how fickle some of our fans are, 2 weeks ago he was brilliant, this week he's a useless lump, I despair I really do! I never saw that game as I was working, I have been to Burton and Oxford and here today, he’s useless, brings nothing in those games. So please remove the fickle comment. I’d put him up there with Chris Beardsley for effectiveness. That aged well then . . .

We are not going to get out of this division with Joey Barton’s style of football. There has to be some sort of up and at ‘em! UTG.
