Here’s a template for Northampton fans:
“Dear EFL,
We must protest at Bristol Rovers on 28th October.
They fielded a team with players who were better than ours. It is not in the spirit of the game to not offer Northampton a sporting chance.
I demand a rematch on more even terms.
Kind regards,
Disgruntled of Avington.

Second half display was the worst of the season. Can’t have mangan in charge for too long the players looked lost and no direction. Being 2-0 up against a poor team at home was hoping we could play with some freedom second half. A better league one team would have stole at least a point from us today second half I thought we attacked brilliantly but defended poorly first half and attacked poorly and defended brilliantly in the second half. It was like watching a decent league 1 side rather than watching league 1 players unable to play a way that doesn’t suit them. There were a few moment where we looked like playing our way in to trouble but much less than usual bevause we moved it quicker. It was back to basics 4-4-2 and that did leave us a bit open through the middle but more than happy with that match and enjoyed it. 3 points and onwards and upwards.

I think the weather didn't help but we were pretty poor in the second half. Still we got over the finish line. I think we need the new manager in sharpish. Defended well though in that second half didn’t we. We just never got going as an attacking unit in the 2nd half. Finley coming off seemed a strange one I though he played well and was better than Evans.

Good win considering we weren’t that great bar a spell in the first half.
That said we could have easily scored 3/4.
Let’s hope we can start to put a little run together now!

It is hard to judge as the weather was so bad. It was a very tense last 10

At least a number of them will have watched the game this afternoon. Whereas, I bet none of them ever bothered to watch the Scunthorpe game before complaining.

Il take that Win but that second half was as poor as I've seen us this season. Crama and Taylor won us that. Outstanding.
There's no way mangans staying listening to the owners interview but I'd love him to be able to stay on in some capacity. Well done today gas.

It’s the result that counts Just a couple of wins from the Play Off places with 2 games in hand on some above us. If the games v Exeter & Reading were not called off, it is possible with the form both of them were in at the time we were due to play, we could be 8th and not looking for a new Gaffer. Small margins

Really happy my first MDT was a 3 pointer, hopefully will go on a roll now!
First half was good overall I thought, we had some rhythm to our play. Could have been different if Cox didn't make a couple of good saves, but 2-0 at HT, all good.
Second half abysmal. Felt like Tuesday night all over again. We managed to scrape home though which will be essential for morale.
Thomas getting some minutes is a real plus. With him back and Woods no longer suspended things will be looking better next game. Onwards and upwards.

Thought we were very good first half after a shaky start, really should have been out of sight with the chances we created at the end of the half. Northampton played some decent stuff and were always a threat but for some reason we seemed to revert to a slower tempo 2nd half which invited pressure. Having said that I thought we defended really well. Important win and a clear week now to hopefully get some extra bodies back and maybe some clarity over the manager

V Wigan and Port Vale we played high tempo and won comfortably and v shrews 2nd half and today ist half we did and that’s where our wins have come from. When we move the hall sluggishly we really struggle , I realise many see this as great football but let’s face it it’s not it’s slow meaningless football that doesn’t work in this division, and doesn’t work for us. Edit : I’ve only mentioned 4 of our wins I can’t remember the other.

We won the game! Who cares if it wasn’t great second half.
Reckon we’d have lost that under Joe.

I couldn't get game coverage today here in Deepest Somerset Absolute billhooks isn’t it. Why am I offered YTFC, 82 or egg ball of all different colours but not Rovers on the radio. 94.9 FM doesn’t exist in Somerset. And, if YTFC, why not Bath, WsM or Toytown!! I ended up paying to listen on ifollow, but it’s really poor from RBris/Somerset You have to be impressed that you get Yate Town in Somerset.
