Interesting post as the op said job had gone already. Ooooo listing names to fill a job? I would pick ggmi. If he has gone, I'm sure the club would say so. They have never not said when someone has left the club. Perhaps. Then thinking about it, why wasn't the new club secretary announced? I do like that WitcHunt post, because I empathise. Hence why my compassions are with the unfair dismal dismissal cases. |

But it's a very serious claim you're almost making. So if you don't block me, back it up or I will keep asking you for proof. ...not sure about anyone else but I've been able to access my various work email addresses on my phone and laptop at home for over a decade now - and choose if/when I use it on personal time. Are you accusing the CEO of allowing people to work whilst claiming furlough payments from the government? Because whilst that's not exactly what you've typed, given the general context of the conversation it seems to be what you're claiming... Haha this is, or was, Bristol Rovers you know...? They only moved in and out of the fax generation this century! Given the general context of TG thread I have been presented with absolutely NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING, ZILCH, NADA against everything I've posted. So....with little research on your behalf you can find out for yourself if you so wish, because I don't answer to you or anyone else with satisfying any claims. I posted these things on other threads and still stand by it. Most don't care. Many read and are not interested. Almost everyone is bored by it. But hey, we're all different. TG as CEO has probably helped some too, but all I'm posting is an alternative view. 'Do your own research' is a cop out, sorry. Case closed. TG has a mixed record- but I've found him pleasant. Here's still here and I have no problems with that. |

I'll try to be devils advocate here.
As fans we should absolutely hold the club and any under performers to account and be able to get answers to any questions we have.
No doubt Tom has made some glaring errors, but as a young CEO I fully expect him to and whilst there has been some awful mistakes, this has been more down to not having a fully and vastly experienced board of directors where collectively huge errors are usually prevented rather than outright incompetence.
That is a failing of the previous ownership rather than Tom himself and we seem to have more directors now than previously and im sure that every decision I'm sure has been made in good faith with no intention of failure.
My experience of being in business is you do make calculated decisions, some with a high degree of risk, and not all of them come off.
Tom is also in the unenviable position of his employment being in the spotlight and any errors made are played out to thousands of people, who of course would do it differently with the benefit of experience and hindsight but certainly, without all the facts.
How many of us have made an error at work and then had it played out to an audience with a constant recollection of failings regardless of the many positive contributions made to an organisation? Not many and I doubt anyone would last a week if your employment was cross examined for failings on a weekly basis.
I'm all up for criticism of Tom and anyone else at the club that's underperforming and I've had my fair share of says on the stand debacle and a few other things but I think we should draw the line at speculation over employment tribunals or accusations of breeches of furlough especially when no one is able to present any evidence or is unwilling at least.
I've spoken to Tom via WhatsApp and someone else has emailed and received a reply in the last week and he's clearly still in post so it's all fake news anyway and to fuel the speculative fires with accusations isn't helpful and is suboptimal to both anyone who may be involved in a tribunal and also to the clubs wider reputation.

If cases have been brought against Rovers then no case since 2017 has even been proven one way or the other by the Tribunal: www.gov.uk/employment-tribunal-decisions?keywords=bristol+roversI assume O2 will now claim that any cases brought were settled prior to an actual hearing, but the simple fact is there's zero evidence out there any cases were ever brought against the club. |

No he hasn't, just the usual malignant rumours from saddos. Yes we can be critical but why some "Gasheads" take it upon themselves to spread misinformation is really saddening.
It's similar to a managers position, and we always know when a manager is fired. Surely we'd expect the same for a CEO.
How long did it take for us to learn Hamer had left?

That is why is was bought through a separate entity. The issue again, would be our friend planning permission. |
