I've always thought that this could be a possibility. Maybe it still is. Maybe this is a way of relaxing the restrictions on the land to make way for a stadium? Maybe the new owners have a plan to sell the club with land and planning permission for a stadium? Who knows? 🫰 There is absolutely no possibility of a stadium ever being built on The Quarters site. Yep, lived close to the site for years, even played football there as a lad. I don’t think people realise it’s located down a tight country lane with barely any road markings!

When the quarters got consent I had a nose at the conditions to see what the limitations were. Granted on condition that no one would pay to watch so someone must have questioned future development. Rules out stadium with motorway access

Rules out stadium with motorway access Not sure that's really relevant as that could always be changed, although unless we build a new motorway junction we're never going to get pp for a stadium anyway.

I'm sure when the plan for the Quarters was announced there was talk then that some of the land could / would be used for housing in the future. Having been to the site a few times now there is ample room and wont negatively impact very much at all if anything. Hopefully Rovers will have first dibs on a few of the properties for when new players are attracted to the club and are looking for digs. Only ChippenhamGas talked about it and we all said he was talking nonsense, as we'd never get pp! I sense there's cheaper property we could rent for players than £500K+ executive homes. If the land does get approval I wonder what the club will do, spend £m's upgrading the facilities or just make do and hope they can develop the whole site for housing in the future?

Maybe the club should be on the lookout for a different site to buy and develop as a training ground in the future. Then turn all of the quarters site into housing.

Rovers may be wise to consult with the people who achieved planning permission for a new Oxford stadium on greenbelt land to see about doing so at the Rovers training ground.

Cambridge City are also building a new stadium on greenbelt land. Training pitches next to the stadium, 500 space car park. It would be cost effective having training pitches on the same site as it would reduce the need for additional buildings.

Whoever designed that stand certainly earned their stripes.

Anyone thinking we could have a stadium at the training ground site really needs to visit Hortham Lane. Never going to be a possibility.
