What's the point of this thread? Many on this site have always expressed their disdain for JB so I'm not sure what the OP wants. Let us know. Oh, and a great big Gas welcome to our new coach Matt Taylor. UTG! What's the point of this thread? The guy was still the manager of the football club at the time of the comments, which are absolutely disgraceful. I would say shocking, but that's clearly never going to be the case when Joey Barton is involved. It was outrageous he got the gig here in the first instance given his prior form. I do think this podcast raises serious questions about Wael's ability to judge character and his suitability to be involved in the football club. Our currrent owner went on record stating Barton was a 'top guy' just a matter of weeks ago. It's been a horrible chapter for the club and I sincerely hope major lessons have been learnt for those who made the decision to go all in on this guy. Hopefully the clouds are now lifting with MT's appointment. |

Quite enjoyed the first half of the podcast!

Never liked him as a player,didn't want him at rovers,and happy to see him gone,he'd probably be in prison if it wasn't for football,really should know better at his age.

What good would it have done calling JB out, Wael was hardly like NH, a local businessman who would feel under pressure to sack him, he would have just stayed in Jordan and let the club slowly sink, at least sticking by the club as seen us promoted back to L1.
I guess your response will be you'd sooner we were back in L2 with Taylor now having to gain promotion from that level.
