Think the first half today, was the worst performance I've ever witnessed. Absolutely bloody awful. No skill, effort, clue about what we were trying to do. Awful tactics. Second half a bit better, but right now think we are in a relegation battle. Totally agree -- Today we were sh**.

Make no mistake about it. That was the worst performance we have seen since the relegation season. It was absolutely diabolical. It came across like a divided dressing room that doesn't want to play for this manager and we are bang in trouble. Cheltenham are the worst league 1 team I have seen this season and for many a year but they out fought us and put in more effort than we did all game. I was at Reading and they were booed off at HT 1-0 down. The squad is terrible, we have a Masters footballer up front in Chris Martin who I like and a fodder replace in Marquis. We have played much better and lost, we had 67% possession at Burton and got battered 4-1. No one can say those players didnāt try second half, Martin missed a great chance and Evans scores that free kick, we are all saying itās winning football. Blame Jennings, Wael was like a parent giving the kids his credit card, Taylor, Pep, Ancelloti couldnāt get this lot winning every week. He said the players signed were signed to play in a certain way, that was 67% stuff and they are not good enough for this. He has to coax us into the window and end of season, itās a proper mess heās inherited

They look like they are suffering from the Barton hangover it was absolutely diabolical which is putting it kindly. Jevani brown was an absolute disgrace today and how he gets in the team ahead of Evans in that attacking midfield role il never know.

Just listened to the interview with Taylor. I get the feeling heās getting the wake up call that weāve all realised recently, that this squad isnāt as good as paper suggests. I do, however, have complete confidence that with a few additions in Jan and a bit of time, he will steady this ship. I think tough games coming up will suit us tbh. Playing teams like Cheltenham/Northampton at home are always banana skins. Away to Bolton and home to Pompey is where you give your all. Some good points here mate (a good Mod) Weāve got some haters on the forum, idiots in Blackthorn End singing this is embarrassing (same lot that sing the IRA song, been in a peace agreement for years lads) and even saw some run to the tunnel to shout at HT at Taylor. We really need to get behind him and the team now, massive up grade on what he had before. He needs window and he needs time to get these players believing in his methods. I really hope our fans get behind him, there is nothing to dislike about the bloke from the start, never wound us up before with an opposition team, not renown for playing good ball, never played for the sh**. So refreshing as well when the interviewer obviously with PTSD tried to get him to comment on Cheltenhamās style of play, Matt Taylor declined to engage in this and stopped any conversation on this. Yeah agreed. He comes across as a total pro tbh and I canāt disagree with anything he says. Barton was decisive not doubt and in one mind I agree with pirate in that we need a big personality. The other side of me says we need to experience normality again without all the toxicity and nonsense and just go back to enjoying football again. Fingers crossed a few results on the pitch and normal life can resume again

It is very worrying, especially after that pathetic display against Crawley reserves too. Another worry is the constant demoralising downward trajectory the new manager has been on over the past year and the effect that may have had on him and he's also had no time to reflect and learn from his time at Rotherham. He couldn't turn around the away form in his last job with no away win in a year and things only got worse this season after he was allowed to break the Rotherham transfer record TWICE. He doesn't really have any experience at this level to draw on either having only managed 11 games and 4 wins at this level. I would say January can't come soon enough, but we are bound to fuā¬Ā£ that up somehow.

We just need to get to the window, send 5/6, and bring in 4 minimum. Marquis, Bogarde, Gibbons, Crama, Woods can all go and send the loans back.

Taylor needs 2 transfer windows to mold this team his own and 1 starts next month thank god but let's not slate the man before he's had a chance please š yes he comes across a little head teacher like and slightly uninspiring to listen to but so does most managers I've seen being interviewed. I think he will bridge the gap for us but he needs a few of his own type players in in key positions to bring the best out of the ones who are worth keeping š But will the new owners back him? Make available the funds to reshape the squad? of course they will that's why they appointed a new manager š we will need to release a few players though in order to bring a few new faces in but that's easy as we just need to return the loan players back to their parent clubs

Slightly confusing here - Bogarde, Crama and Woods ARE loans. But ok, fine, we do. Signing replacements, as the great comedian Tommy Cooper would put it, "just like that".

Suggests to me that he expects the new manager to succeed with that investment, not that he has to fork out another wad of investment.

Iāve never understood the need to replace existing management with other candidates that have just been sacked from a similar job. Makes no sense at all, but the hounders have got what they wanted, a cardboard cut outā¦. You makes your bed and you lie in it.

Just back from watching the Australian Pink Floyd.
Bloody marvellous
Havenāt read through all the posts but hope no one is judging the manager yet. We have an ok league 1 side, capable of playing good football but under performing. We all know we need strengthening in certain positions, and no doubt MT will learn a great deal over the next month.
Itās frustrating that we arenāt pushing for the top 6, but in truth we are nowhere near ready or good enough to head into the championship.
Need some long term planning to make us more balanced, quick, strong and confident, that takes time.
Whack on Dark Side Of The Moon
Makes it all ok.

There were people on forums like this one who were anti but that goes for most managers. On a match day he'd be applauded to the dugout and always get a strong backing, including from me. He got a lot of flack when we were second bottom of the fourth division but that was water under the bridge.
