If JCH desperately wants to get back to Bristol, he could be in just 5 months, by running down his contract. Why sign a long term contract for a club a long way from where he wants to live - could well be a Bristol Rovers player on the 31st at a real knock down price imo.

I think his dad is local as McAnthony said he was at his dads house when they told him to get to the ground on deadline day |

That seems to be just a Gaschat fact as nobody seems to have ever confirmed that's the case. |

Not arsed about Jonson. Did great while here and of course has banged them in at Posh but why do they want rid of their top scorer?
Either they, having seen him day in and out, think he's on the way down, or he won't re-sign with them - and will want more from any prospective new club. Not to mention that he's getting no younger and has had a tricky knee (I think) since he was here.
There are other strikers out there, either in the loan market or on the way up as opposed to 30 in the summer, who may be cheaper. Certainly shouldn't be paying over half a million for someone available for nowt in the summer.
