Everson joined us two years after Bobby left... I stand corrected then. I thought he was working for us around that time because he was definitely responsible for finding Scott Sinclair around that era.

There's no real evidence we are in for a 30 year old, or for that matter any team at our level as a DS set up. Have you just come up with something else to hit our owners with, when the rest of us are just interested in us signing a few quality players during this window. The club claimed we were previously in for a record transfer for a soon to be 30-year-old in the last window (the man the thread is about lol), but you can believe what you like. Sorry, not sure what you mean by "or for that matter any team at our level as a DS set up"? 🤷🏻♂️ "previously" is not this present window, there's zero evidence we are still interested in signing JCH, I'm pretty certain DMc would be telling everybody if we were still interested. As far as DS weren't we discussing other team having Development Squads? It seems no L1 club who hasn't recently played in the Championship has one.

Can’t see us being too interested now tbh. I could understand if we were right in the mix and we wanted to roll the dice to get a promotion push over the line, but as yesterday showed we are too easy to score against to be realistic promotion candidates. I would say it’s more likely we will wait it out and if he becomes available in the summer then who knows? Other than that it looks like most people are just hoping he wants to come back here above anyone else due to some affection for the club, which is probably nowhere near the regard us fans had for him in the short time he was here! UTG 2 weeks and window closes IMO cards are still on the table. WTF wouldn’t you take him for free !! stoney

I bet if he's still there on deadline day and we offered 250k they might accept it. As with the falling out, I can see them not playing him and then getting literally nothing if a few months.

actually enjoying this saga, cant stand Peterborough DMAc is massively outspoken and although this is unusal its costing him making him look like a mug.
When we tried to sign him in the summer they took a hard stance on the price, I read that Wael was calling daily. His transfer value is tumbling now. Feb 2nd they could release him for nothing just to get his wages off the books.

Posh are only saying JCH should accept the contract offer from Charlton because that's the highest transfer fee offer for Posh. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes for less than 150k.

This is were the player personal interest overrides the desires of the club. On one hand Boro want the best fee anyone can offer. However ; the player is after a lengthy contract almost taking him to 33 and a very high wage demand. In some respects the agent / player is more interested in securing the best deal for J.C.H . This means it is possible the player will run down his contract allowing clubs to increase the ' package offer ' with no transfer fee involved in the summer. Every club loses players in the summer months without receiving a penny .

Managers won't want to wait as they may be out of a job by then.

JCH can stay at posh, leave in the summer for free. Means he can drop his weekly pay demand a bit in exchange for a signing on fee...£150,000 or more perhaps ?
New club benefits ,he benefits...only loser is Posh financially. However they have had a top scorer over the years and now have him off the payroll.

My heart realy bleeds for D Mac and Posh , holding out for silly money , and may lose him for peanuts.
Yes he commanded a good price but not sure what MacAnthony was spouting off was realistic imo

. Feb 2nd they could release him for nothing just to get his wages off the books. They could but would still have to pay his wages up until the end of his contract so I can’t see it. Still think either someone desperate for a striker pay the asking price and wages or Peterborough start to accept lower bids in the last day or two
