. Feb 2nd they could release him for nothing just to get his wages off the books. They could but would still have to pay his wages up until the end of his contract so I can’t see it. Still think either someone desperate for a striker pay the asking price and wages or Peterborough start to accept lower bids in the last day or two terminate by mutual consent so hes free to sign elsewhere. saves them wages and gives him a move if thats what he wants. They havent really played him this season, think that comes into it as he's probably thinking whats another 4 months on the bench. He hasnt got any personal goals to achieve or even raise his profile. Wouldnt surprise me if he has a big promotion bonus in his contract, perhaps DMac isnt the genius he makes himself out to be |

A free agent has to be available during the transfer window if they are to be signed after the deadline. So if they released him after the deadline, I think another club can sign him but would be unable to register him? I’m also not sure how long after the January window closes you have to submit your squad? |

Mystifies me that we aren’t all over a 29 year old, 400k goal machine we were willing to pay double for in the summer, get it done!!!! It’s not as if we are against immobile strikers and aren’t begging a 35 year old to stay another 4 months 🙄

I would not want to see us go all out for JCH but can you imagine if the Wrexham connection came to fruit, would most likely seal their promotion and they would probably have the divisions top scorer by the end of the following season, it would be one hell of a statement if we signed him, he still has shelf life!
