A goal every 126 minutes now for Chris. Doesn’t do anything else though, if we had a proper runner upfront we could well of won that game, I’d let him go myself. |

Somersetgas, He is not up there for his speed. watch the game closer and see how he holds the ball up and brings others into the game. He would never have started any game in his career if it was based on speed.Hes got to be worth a place with four goals in two games. Collins is selected to provide the pace with the two widemen. There is no guarantee that a fast striker would score more goals as it depends on the service. Personally i would look to sign JCH still and keep Martin and Marquis.At times in this league two targetmen would be useful and remember JCH is capable of all types of goals.Only a fool would not want the Leagues top scorer for 2 or 3 seasons.

The guy can’t run and is unfit, get someone in who can and can score. |

I agree RD. Somersetgas is entitled to his opinion but I disagree with it totally. There is no point whatsoever in your targetman pressing up on his own however fit or unfit he is if there is no back up to prevent the pass. If the team want to high press then it has to be done as a unit. Martin has proved he is a top striker with the goals he has scored which have been all types and the fact that he is the Championships 8th top scorer of all time really shows a lack of knowledge by Somersetgas comparison to Chris Beardsley. Note nobody set the world alight at QPR last season. Martin has proved that if you set him up he will score goals- we have ten other players to set him up!!
