Yep , didn’t watch it live but heard the sound bites and it sounded pretty awful. Obvs still better than that lying orange sack of sh** next to him but the democrats need a replacement pronto . Yes it's a shame and his heart is in the right place. But there's no point in pretending that he's 100% ready for the job when clearly those days have gone. A nightmare if Trump sneaked in again because there was no credible Democrat candidate. I know logically that is not how it should work but these things aren't logical, especially in the US of A. It was a train crash,he needs to step down pdq but he won't and the initiative has been handed to Trump,if he stays and that seems to be the case it's lose lose,in a tight race Trump has a god chance of being elected by not doing anything and if Biden wins narrowly I can envisage major unrest orchestrated by Trump . A new Democrat nominee would have the mental capacity to tackle Trump directly on the lies that come from his mouth,it was al left totally unchallenged by Biden during the debate,it was awful and sad to watch.

Currently on holiday in Croyde, North Devon is definitely Conservative going by signs.
All blue round here, none for any other party.

The bigger concern is who is making the decisions in the White House at the moment? Are they skipping the Oval Office meetings and making day-to-day decisions without him? What happens if there's a crisis and he's called to the Situation Room...? The Democratic Party will be worried about the election, but I wonder how many in his Cabinet are thinking about the 25th Amendment...

French politics is interesting, will the left unite enough to keep the far right out ? Does our friend francegas get a vote …. Guessing he’d have to vote for Le Pens mob as he dislikes Macron and must hate the further lefty parties . Also I heard this morning that if the far right did get some power they’d look to stop our present agreement with the French where passport checks etc are carried out on French soil . Thus causing massive problems for the uk if that were to happen.

Just wondering if you’re concerned if they got into power.

I definitely expect them to get into the 40s at least, it's going to be close in a few areas. Today's news about inflation may be the sort of news that makes a waiverer vote Conservative rather than Reform, for example. Wouldn't surprise me if something comes out of the blue (👀) just before Polling Day about Farage. Wouldn't surprise me if something comes out of the blue just before polling day about Starmer...anyone noticed the articles in the last couple of days about how Lady Starmer is not campaigning to 'protect his family life'...? There are one or two rumours that suggest there is another reason... Any more on these rumours?

No I'm not concerned if Le Pen wins. I do believe people fear her because of her name and her father. She certainly has mellowed and not the raging racist that people label her.

Are the wheels falling off for Reform? Two of the 6 on breakfast telly this morning are minded to vote Reform. That's on the basis they are offering something different. Whether it's a good or even plausible different was irrelevant, calling for change. None of the big established parties can ignore the disillusionment.

Starmer will be a "part-time" PM, the mud slinging is getting pretty desperate.
