So Roady why did you return? Could have done us all a favour. Just got home from the game and seen this. I returned because I was told the board were reading the forum and I wanted to do my bit and get Barton gone, he went and I was and am made up. Today was another example of a terrible squad Barton left behind with a top 8 budget. It’s been weak all season, pension pots like Wilson, doesn’t want to be here and past it. Gordon, he resigned Grant, Brown is a disgrace and terrible player, another who doesn’t want to be here. We’ve got Jed in goal now because he treated Belshaw disgracefully, Cox not up to it. Crama bang average, so many, you hero left us in a mess but I still go most weeks, like the time I met you at Burton Steve. We used to be in total agreement in the past, I remember me defending you on your opinion of Tony Craig, imagine him playing or a player like that now, Wilson has 10% of his passion. You came for me on this thread Steve and still are tonight, I hope you are well mate, we are all Gas and Barton wasn’t us. So the board sacked Barton in late summer because the players are as above . However : only gave the ' green light ' to three loans in the window who are by definition rookies. Fast forward nearly 4 months and we have NO improvement and a shocking run of 3 0 7 in 10 since the new year. Progress what progress ?.

I’m not happy with the new owners and look at the season ticket disaster this week. You are not going to see any progress until a load of these go in the summer and the manager gets his own transfer window. I’m a ST holder, I’ve been to 13 away games this season, this is the most overrated squad in the history of Bristol Rovers for the budget spent. Top dollar wages on the likes of Brown and Wilson today, I honestly think both should be playing below Div1 next season. I am happy to bash this new board with you, I just can’t see how anyone can hammer this manager. He’s made mistakes yes, but this same lot lost 4-1 at Burton with 69% possession and a different style, however we set up, we can’t defend, Crama and Wilson were calamity.

Since Joey has left we have reduced the wages by around a million a year AND have to cope with losing 10 players through injury. Let's see where we are this time next year. With a much harder league and I would suspect a smaller budget, if we are 3 or 4 places above the relegation zone, I would think Taylor is doing a great job.

A few months ago we had a top 6-8 budget bidding nearly £1 million on one player. Now we are cutting the budget by 25% and have no money . Within a few months we have gone from a ' top budgeted side ' to massive cut backs ?.

I thought he’s was having a pop re the board but just reread, yes he’s a Barton fan club member. I just keep bringing up the Burton 4-1 away defeat, we won’t see progress until next season. I said to my Father today, the only positive that days like today show is justification Barton assembled a mediocre squad. Gordon, Grant (he gave him a new deal and raved about him), Brown, we were handicapped from the start with these 3.

We have been bought by businessmen, no real love for football, the Quarters and housing will cover there costs

They sacked Barton because he had a top 8 budget, we playing bad, he was having some form of breakdown, Thomas idiot incident, HT Stevenage telling the players he was resigning, calling Evans a fat weeble. This has then carried on since he lost his job on Twitter. I said months ago they had cut back on hotel stays, Finley publicly said the manager needed backing. Martin rang in sick because of his contract being stalled, Taylor said he didn’t know what was going on, the deal was agreed days before. The manager has been given budget to bring in 3 loan kids and spend on Conteh. But he’s lost the best assister in the division, banked £500k after Conteh deal and saved on wages with the likes of Gibbons going. Enjoy your evening, Taylor and Brady had a drink after the game, they get on really well, how times have changed.

And John Brady is a good man as well, does a lot outside of his job in Northampton for the club and community, you saw today their fans appreciation of him. How Barton treated him and what he said about him was another example of his vulgar behaviour.

Paul, I do think they will back Matt, our season is over so days like this will shape his plans for the cull in the summer, too many not good enough. Great news is there are loads out of contract, we might be stuck with Wilson unfortunately as he has another year.

I think there's very little chance of moving on anyone who will still be under contract. Nobody is going to want Wilson, or at least pay the wages he is currently on.

So they had to give some excuse and that was what they felt would fly. I really wouldn't read in to those comments

Having sacked one of those it's hard too believe the owners have managed to employ somebody worse, how he now seems to have lost the whole changing room, or at least yesterday's changing room, beggars belief.
If we can't move on Wilson etc then surely the board will have to move on MT, or things will be just as bad next season.

The best squad of the century we were told by Topper even in October he said this, I’ve screen shot this one, this will haunt you Toppwr with me, when this bloke delivers and he will, we are going to have fun me and you! You won’t even give the bloke a chance, give him a transfer window. Did you go to Norwich away? If Connor Taylor alone plays yesterday that defence is different, if you just add in one of Ward or Finley the side is transformed without Grant in it. Evans, Conteh, a fit Vale at left back instead of Gordon, we play like we did at Carrow Road. I will get abuse next season on here but this thread and you post will be bumped a lot.

You seem to get a little confused.

When do you think this bloke will deliver? Why will you be abused next season? Because he doesn't deliver?

You really need help if a post from me his haunting you! The fact we easily beat Stevenage on Tuesday when we started to play suggests this squad is capable of easily finishing in the top 6, for whatever reason is decided not to play for two managers. The worry is it's clearly decided not to perform for the one presently in the job. One minute you're suggesting the owners won't spend any money, the next saying that MT will have a big clear out in the summer, clearly both can't happen unless MT brings in a load of cheap replacements, which is hardly going to improve matters.

I am saying the owners won’t spend the money and MT is having a big clear out, CORRECT. He will have to wheel and deal like Cogs did and I trust him to do it but he won’t be signing Pension Pot players and using Marcus Stewart’s charity matches to recruit players like Friend. Why don’t you just give him a chance, we have Barton 3 years so respect this man and give him his own window, isn’t that fair before you write him off?

Giving the bloke a chance should be a bit better than wheeling and dealing with tight strings. If this is the case, other than the stars aligning quickly, he's going to need a few seasons to get the squad and methods aligned to his ways. 3 years the owner said..MT will be gone within 3 months of next season if this sort of form/performance spills into August.
