Not sure I have to admit that! Our only perm signing so far is very encouraging. What we do in the summer to build a team around the 7 or 8 will be interesting. Not going to throw money around, probably rightly, but willing to spend on the right players - which for me includes tying down the likes of Evans. Not sure JCH would have done better than Martin. We realistically werent going to sign both. Really expected Marquis, Brown and Collins to have contributed much more not sure another on top of those 4 was really needed. Good points Percy, I'm very much on the fence and teetering between both. But I'm glad you've given me something counter to think about 🙏🏼 I get wrapped up a bit in a negative spiral being a gas head at times, and always happy when fellow gas bring a bit of daylight back to my thinking!! 5pm Saturday I may be less optimistic!

If the club cash in on Evans then that goes against everything they are saying in terms of rebuilding and aiming for the Championship in 3 years. I know we sold Collins but he was out of form and looked like he didn't want to be here, not something I see with Evans. He is one of the key players if we want to make a genuine good go at getting out of this league as I doubt we would get any better. Evans has a year left on his deal? If he's sold for c£1m and that money is reinvested I don't see that as a problem... Especially with £400k still in our back pocket from Collins. m True, but I’d much rather he sign a new contract. He’s a complete midfielder at this level.

Bit strong to say he is a complete midfielder. He is an attacking midfielder. Number of bookings he gets suggest he is not great at tacking.

So the Keeper situation for next year.
Jed Ward has certainly done enough to be part of the first team squad next season and not be farmed off on loan. Cox will go back obv, thanks and good luck lad.
I'd like an experienced keeper to be back up toWard. Let them compete for it, start with Jed and have experience there to call on when he needs some time out.
You know who would have been perfect in that role? His best mate and biggest fan James Belshaw. Oh well.
Would you be happy if Jed was given the No.1 shirt. I would, big statement to the youngsters.

He’s done ok so far, nothing more nothing less. I’d definitely want to bring in someone bigger and more experienced and let them compete on a level footing in preseason before declaring anyone as No.1.
