The honest truth is nobody knows !. I'm not aware of an accurate report outlining budgets of each club signed off and independently varifed. If there is can someone enclose a link?. Fans will make assumptions on the big signings in each division. The bigger clubs in this leauge will make huge signings like Ipswich last season and Peterboro . Also the bigger clubs will outbid each other for the non contracted players like Alfie May last year. It's a guessing game . Some think we compete with the bigger clubs like derby & Bolton. I think we have a reasonable budget around mid. I'm happy to be corrected if a link was found agreed and signed off stating we have a top seeded budget . The annual results will be a good pointer as to whether JB had a bigger budget as they've consistently shown annual debts around the £3m mark, if they suddenly jump over £4m it'll suggest JB went on a spending spree. Although if he did Wael would have had to agree to any additional spending. Topper, I can’t debate with you, our profit and loss doesn’t mean anything it or goes up or down, the EFL publish his budget, we have to publish to justify SCMP, I’m pretty sure Hussain said top 8 because that’s what it is!

Barton applied for jobs at Forest Green and Bradford ? Yes, know one of the programme editors at these clubs. I’ve shown my knowledge of the game on deadline day, I could say so much more about his behaviour whilst manager of our club, so much more. 3 match ban start of season, kicked the refs door in, poor bloke was shaken badly by this. Stevenage game, his last, stormed in the changing room at HT for 1 minute, went absolutely mental at the players and said if they don’t sort it, he’s was resigning. Dragged the whole management team out with him, Wilson injured took the team talk. You wonder why he was sacked?!?! He was having a breakdown, 45 mins later who was publicly destroying the opposition manager by calling him a fat weeble. 2 weeks before he was calling Luke Thomas an idiot on the radio, if SteveK is convinced that’s fine but it’s a bit like saying Liz Truss was going to turn it around! Roady I'm not sure if it's helpful commenting on his personal behaviour / life . Let's stick to his performances / outcomes mate .

I have no issue with it, your second last word is outcomes……..the outcome of his sacking was his behaviour which was showing all the signs of a breakdown. And this stemmed from pressure to back up his promotion statements, 69% possession at Burton and losing 4-1, he knew he couldn’t get his players to do what he wanted and he knew he signed a load of fodder with his fraud agent mate. And I don’t mind talking about him for sure, I can laugh at him, any man who hits a women, sends his employees off for professional help at private clinics, happy to expose the scum bag. SteveK is convinced, Topper thinks I am obsessed, you call me Sir, happy to debate the truth all day long. Let’s hope we win tomorrow or we will have to read about your pointless comparison thread.

Go on post a link to where EFL have ever published an entire list of L1's playing budgets. Does Hussain even know what other clubs budgets are if a list is not published? Looking at this season home attendance which two teams in the top 10 are going to have smaller budgets than us? www.footballwebpages.co.uk/league-one/attendances

If your not obsessed then why do most of your posts refer to him? Months after he left your still ranting about him, who really cares now what went on with his Mrs when even the CPS have given up.

We will soon know the budget at the end of the season, but what I will say is, Barton never did a DC and complained his. Let’s also be frank here, one man built the expectation of this season, one man said at the end of the season you need a £4.5 million budget and 3 months later he was saying promotion was on the agenda………does this sound like a man who was working to a insufficient budget? I rest my case. Fausty, I’m happy for any manager to talk about a player in a way to get a reaction or motivation, I don’t see how calling someone and idiot and scolding Trev Clarke does this……… I would hope under Matt Taylor’s leadership, a player like Belshaw does not need to seek professional help for mental health. I listened to a Tareiq Holmes-Dennis podcast recently, he openly said Cogs made him train because players like Kelly were vying for his position but needed to protect his knee. I thought, dark ages thinking and a reason he is managing in Div2 and there is a reason Barton is unemployed, failed interviews at Bradford and FGR. A reason why Edwards is now in the Prem and MT with us in Div1, all promoted together, one never trusted to get a new job at Watford and Rotherham, he’s a crap manager, that’s why. Barton applied for jobs at Forest Green and Bradford ? Definitely Bradford was short listed 🤔

Cheers. I saw the talk of Bradford but not FGR, that's desperate. The bloke's finished in football and I agree he's unwell, it's a very good job he was sacked before his mental state deteriorated to the point it has been since. Taylor doesn't particularly excite me but I feel a lot more comfortable and reassured with him as manager, hopefully he grows into the job and we see more of his personality

Surely Hall the young keeper needs to go on loan?
It seems to have been beneficial for Ward and with Cox on the bench, what chance is there for Hall to actually play?
Maybe MT will give him some game time when we are safe but if Hall is under contract for next season maybe at least a two month loan at national League south level would be good for him.
Also what is happening re Larwence?

Also what is happening re Larwence? If Hall plays league games the whole point in his signing will be defeated, he's there simply as a decoy so we can bring in an emergency loan keeper.

Being able to manage and motivate isn't all about charisma, there's plenty out there who are just odd people who know about football. If the players respect him, and he knows what he's doing, we'll be a lot better off as a club than where we were heading.

Even if that applies to one or two players then it doesn't seem like Taylor would hesitate in getting them gone

"There doesn’t seem to be much durability in the squad. One thing we have to do at the end of this season before next season is start getting a durable squad first and foremost and look at who played 30, 40 games the season before, the season before that, because we can’t keep signing players who are fantastic players but their unavailable factor plays a bigger part and it really affects the group."
This is encouraging and exactly what I stated a few pages back and what Roady has called pension pot signings.
30 games a season minimum consistently is what builds a durable squad. Get these sicknotes out the club.

Odd if he did say that as MT says something totally different on his latest pre-match YouTube interview, suggesting we're lucky to have Willo, George and Jack and we need such "men" at the club!! from 3:30 onwards
