Good op and title. Remember what recently happened when we sold Lambo and JCH, our best players, and never replaced them? Just saying... Collins hasn't been our best player this season and we won on Saturday without him. He needs to be replaced long term, but short term we have replaced him with loans. You never know, we might end up signing some of those loans for next season if they do well. We signed Thomas, Connolly and Taylor after they did well on loan and we brought back Bogarde, although he didn't do that will this time. Most clubs do this. Plymouth won the league last season with a lot of loan players. They signed two of them on permanents and brought another back on loan again. They turned down a high bid from Lazio for one of them a few days a go! It's hard to say if we are stronger or weaker after this window, until we see the players play. Daniel have you ever posted anything negative about the club? Every time you post something you make out everything is perfect at the club, even though we never seem to progress from being a mid to lower table L1 side. How many games have you seen live, not on iFollow, this season, perhaps if you spent money watching Rovers play you'd feel differently? Rovers have now effectively called this season over, like we seem to do most seasons around this time of the year.

Getting angry and disappointed all the time does nobody any good. Not you nor the people around you.
Rovers are a frustrating bunch to follow but try to lighten up and enjoy the good bits, stay optimistic and try to be happy with family and friends around you.
I’ve been supporting for 60 years plus now and brought a new neighbour to the Exeter game (by bus from Bath). We walked up from the Bus Station via three pubs and enjoyed ourselves despite the dreary display on the field. The walk back to the Bus Station seemed a lot further but it’s only a game after all.
Look on the bright side, we still exist, we haven’t gone bust, we got promoted not that long ago, we have a decent looking core for the future I reckon and an interesting set of loans to get us through the rest of this season. Hopefully good enough for us not to flirt with relegation, maybe good enough for a few decent runs? Can but hope! UTG!

I'm pointing at disappointed angry people, but that's par for the course living in BS3. Average player sold? Check. Couldn't give a hoot about him or Bolton? Check. Exciting looking loan signings? Check. Possibility of getting some Costa Rican milfs at the Mem before season end? Sexist, vacuous Check. Result all round. 🏴☠️🇨🇷 Also being a member of the south Bristol gas contingent couldn't agree more. Anyone who thinks we should be spending millions to get out of league 1 are living in cloud cuckoo land. We don't have billionaire owners like the Ted's who have had to spend hundreds of millions of pounds just to be a sh*t championship club. We can't compete with that. We are what we are. We deal in the bargain basement and we have to sell our assets to try and survive and be the best we can be. I don't support rovers expecting to progress to be honest. Be lovely if we did but we have fallen far too behind the championship now to ever be decent at that level imo unless we get taken over by billionaires. We have to spend wisely and build the club up in all departments to try and stay a decent league one club for an extended period. Challenging where we can for the top 6.

It’s not been a rip roaring window for us. Collins needed to go - for his sake and ours. I’m not unhappy with his departure - but I’m disappointed he didn’t manage to get firing for us at all over the past 12 months. I would have liked a marquee signing along the JCH lines but that was never likely in January and I’m glad we haven’t done a Stefan Payne type deal to compensate. Hopefully one, or more, of the loans will be good enough for what we need for the rest of the season. If the stories of the club haemorrhaging money are true then it’s no real surprise we have been cautious this window. Ultimately it isn’t my money so I just have to hope the owners do the right thing for the club.

I don't change my mind every two seconds like you though. Indeed minute you seen to be arguing with someone standing up for them, the next time you are arguing moaning about them. I just look at the long term picture. All I've said, is it's too early to judge them. I said I wouldn't have spent the money yet as we would get better value. That's not standing up for them, that my opinion. I get more annoyed watching at home, so you are chatting rubbish there! When I go to a games, have a few drinks, chat etc I have a good time more than watching at home. I am more annoyed when we lose, when I watch at home. As you don't get the good experiences along side the bad performance. Some fans just go for a day out. So because they are there, that means they care more??? I can't attend many games, due to family commitments. But that does not mean im less passionate now than when I had a season ticket! If anything, I care more.

its funny how we react with the extremes in both directions. We are 13 points off the playoffs with 18 games to go, last year 6th had 77 points and we're currently sat at 37... 40 points from 18 games? Circa 13 wins. We are highly unlikely to do that.
No need to go and blow the load in January, where clubs charge a premium (how many fans were quick to point out that we didn't have to let Collins go but if the price was right, then we should). They bid for Ennis who would have been a great buy, but beaten to it by a championship team. Not something we can change or compete with right now. We just need to be a bit realistic and not sound like the Wrexham fans who thought they were actually in with a shot of signing Collins or JCH.
This season didn't work, we got hit with injuries in defence and ultimately that lead to Bartons demise and now we are in reset. Lets get someone in charge of transfers that knows the direction of the club, let them plan for summer when the fees won't be as high and build the right pieces in the summer. Loans to see the season out was a great and sensible move.

Can I just point out that without loan signing Elliot Anderson we'd still be in League two. EA came in when promotion was still within our grasp. I’m not sure those coming in now have anything to achieve other than getting themselves some experience and benefitting their parent club. For us we’re just filling holes in a squad to get us through to the summer and the next rebuild. And the next rebuild and the next - Ad infinitum 🤔🥱💙utg

You must be one of the few, I can't see signing a load of youngsters is a sign we're going for the Play Off's particularly when MT made the point of saying how much having Wilson & co's experience last week helped the team, I'm not passing judgement on the individual players just can't see them turning us into Play Off contenders, hopefully they'll help us get a few wins and the season won't fizzle out like it has done in 3 of our last 4 seasons.

So they are using revenue to pay invoices, that's no way to run a business...no wait, maybe that's wrong! Henbury just makes it up to suit the agenda, I'd just ignore whatever he posts. Prove me wrong toppy ? lets see how much of the £1m we so called had available is spent in the summer lucky to get 25% of it i bet

It's madness to think our owners will fund huge losses year on year at some stage we have to be self funding not reliant on handouts from owners

I agree totally with wider Football, as in life, is the hope of something better. Without trust, belief and hope we have nothing. Fifty years into the gas and the hope for better continues.

The large funded annual losses are an illusion. The enormous stand only got there due to a freak occurance of localised tornado activity moving girders and plastic seats together.
Connor Taylor was signed using a long forgotten locker of book tokens and Conteh was signed as the board are running an 419 scam and told Grimsby we would send the resurrected Pele as part of a swap deal.

To consolidate our business in this January transfer window, I have to give credit where it's due: to the club.
They've achieved what no other club in the country has.
They've managed to serve up and negotiate 3 loans with pretty much no or little interest. ☹️

Sorry but not happy, we sell Collins and bring in three loan signings until end of season why ? what is the point ? all young players with little or no league experience, they will go back to their clubs and we will have to have yet another reset, which will mean yet another season of adjusting etc etc, loan signings are not the way to build a team for the future, and now desperately short up front, Oh well sure our new owners know what they are doing, Oh to be a Gashead eh !! Those loan signings, eh? Huh.

Win a game and get someone decent on loan. We're off to Wembley, owners really get us, Rich trots out his endless cliches about winners win and losers do something or other. All a bit depressing really and I sometimes wonder why I bother reading.
