I don’t know how Taylor and McAllister (he might have been involved) got a World Cup international player in of this quality. Fair play to them, early days but he could go down in folklore like the Latvian! Contacts, Paul. Some on here say he doesn’t have any and only knows team Bath and Exeter players. Very wrong on the back of this quote. "The best thing about the staff is that we’ve got a network of people who know people in the game. So there were phone calls to Hull and Nottingham Forest and the moment that we got good character references on the back of seeing they were good players, it was a dead certain for us." I don’t think we did references before!! Apologies for not reading this before I posted the same.

Once upon a time we'd get loan players in and not play them. Now we get them in and give them a go. If you were a top club, who would you trust to look after your best talent? That's not true though is it, as we've had umpteen posts about how some loanees have been promised x number of games etc. Loan players will play if they are better than what we have.

Apologies for not reading this before I posted the same. Great minds, Bide! Probably tells us a lot what the likes of Matt Taylor, McAlister and Carlisle bring to the table.

Only saw parts of the 2nd half today, but Jed Ward take a bow.
Not sure if our standards have been lowered so much, or he’s truly an excellent keeper, but honestly, every time Exeter were 1:1 or through on goal, I just immediately assumed goal.
I’d forgotten what it was like for our GK to actually pull off a save where you expect the striker to score.
It’s so refreshing. Looking forward to seeing him develop in the 1st team

What a great day out. A handful of vocal Exeter fans in St Anne's well pub absolutely rammed with Gas having a laugh. Cask ales in the social club by the ground. Home fans being allowed to climb over the 'secure' netting to use the away toilets as they were easier to get too. Appreciate the 'accoustics' of the Thatchers end, Can tell that the terrace is noisy but the sound just escapes upwards. Not a classic game, in one word - Workmanlike.

I might be wrong here, bit isn't this only his second game with us? No need to get on his case so soon. It's hardly getting on his case saying he's good enough to be a bit more adventurous with his passing. Have you heard of the term back handed compliment? Leave him alone. He hasn't completed a full season in league football as yet and you are questioning his passing repertoire after his second game with us. Can you not just enjoy that he is winning tackles and breaking up play in the middle of the park?

Fair play to them, early days but he could go down in folklore like the Latvian! Matty Taylor referenced having staff in the building with contacts in the football world as being responsible for getting the loans in from Forest, Hull etc. in his after match talk to Bristol Live. That seems to put to bed the thought that we have nobody with any idea about recruitment. I thought this Dave, I don’t think we will be seeing pension pot signings anymore and players will be having proper medicals as well.

Tarnished by an Exeter employee being a bit of a t.wat in the away end with the ball.

Kevin Bond has been in South Africa for a few weeks then. Secret scouting mission? Nice holiday?

We’ve got our Rovers back We’ve got our Rovers back and I’m afraid the members of the previous supporters club are even admitting we were hijacked now! Club totally united behind the scenes, Collins money helped with Taylor’s management team. I said words were said after the Tuesday night game when we lost and I started the Cellino thread, we are united! The manager has never spoke about the previous regime where as the previous manager did it a lot. Every time Taylor says we have/had a deep squad, he did Thursday again, I smile, we’ve got a proper manager now. WE’VE GOT OUR ROVERS TRULLY BACK.
