And hopefully the end of all the bollocks that Taylor has no back room staff and no scouting contacts outside of Team Bath and Exeter. We’ve got our Rovers back We’ve got our Rovers back and I’m afraid the members of the previous supporters club are even admitting we were hijacked now! Club totally united behind the scenes, Collins money helped with Taylor’s management team. I said words were said after the Tuesday night game when we lost and I started the Cellino thread, we are united! The manager has never spoke about the previous regime where as the previous manager did it a lot. Every time Taylor says we have/had a deep squad, he did Thursday again, I smile, we’ve got a proper manager now. WE’VE GOT OUR ROVERS TRULLY BACK. Why as Abdullatif, the subject of your Cellino post, left, if so, who's running the club now he's gone? As far as the squad size does it have any less depth now than it did before the window, when the likes of Sinclair, McCormick and Cox can't even make the bench today?

Cox couldn't as we had 5 loans, so unless one gets injured it's a waste of a loan player to have him on the bench.

Once upon a time we'd get loan players in and not play them. Now we get them in and give them a go. If you were a top club, who would you trust to look after your best talent? That's not true though is it, as we've had umpteen posts about how some loanees have been promised x number of games etc. Loan players will play if they are better than what we have. It is broadly true. There have been a couple of occasions where loan signings have been promised the first few (maybe 4) games, but after that they've needed to keep their place on merit.

Marquis singing Goodnight Irene during the warm up made me feel fuzzy inside.

Unlike you I don’t play mute games where you ignore posts. Abdul very much in control still but they all got around the table I am told and they are all united, whole club now. The squad -2 two on depth, 6 and 4 in, I mean 6 out of your best squad since Holloway! And one of the two you mentioned was going out on loan to a rival of ours but even paying half his wage, he was still their top earner! You said I made it all up Topper, £10 monthly subscription for you, I told you this!

Only saw parts of the 2nd half today, but Jed Ward take a bow. Not sure if our standards have been lowered so much, or he’s truly an excellent keeper, but honestly, every time Exeter were 1:1 or through on goal, I just immediately assumed goal. I’d forgotten what it was like for our GK to actually pull off a save where you expect the striker to score. It’s so refreshing. Looking forward to seeing him develop in the 1st team Excellent again today. 👏 View Attachment1 v 1's should be a stat for a keeper. Jed did really well with that today.

Have you heard of the term back handed compliment? Leave him alone. He hasn't completed a full season in league football as yet and you are questioning his passing repertoire after his second game with us. Can you not just enjoy that he is winning tackles and breaking up play in the middle of the park? Why don't you have pop at the poster who first mentioned it if it's such a big issue for you? I'm not really concerned about who started it. I just want us to have a more nurturing approach. Especially if we are going to have young uns in the team. You can tell the poster who started it that we need to give players a little more time, especially when they haven't played a full season at football league standard. Now, enjoy the cracking goal in the top bins. Enjoy the team looking like they were playing for each other and having fun today. There were smiles on faces and for me, that is getting my Rovers back. From the back to the front, we played for each other. That boy Aguilera looks like something special, maybe even better than EA *ducks*. The diagonal balls he was hitting were inch perfect. Elkan looked good when he came on too. Harry didn't really get too many opportunities to shine.

I also thought LT had a great game today. Just shows how more effective he is when he gets the ball facing goal, rather than with his back to it, as has been the case lately.

Great result, Matt seems to have pulled the club together, going forward cant see Scott Sinclair featuring and at his age he needs to be playing, if opportunities came up for him think it might be better to negotiate to end his contract.
Loans look good, strong end to this season, then get preparing for a good go next season.
We had Connor Roberts and Ollie Mcburnie on loan before and never used them, now we will be trusted with young gems to help develop them, future looking good UTG.

I’m not a proper statto, but is this basically saying he should have conceded one today, bringing us home the 3 points? Basically, yes. He prevented what the opta data collectors determined should have been at least one definite goal.

Still down here in a hotel and forgot how annoying rooming with your kids can be re waking up early so gonna reflect as he farts about in the room 🤣
St Ann’s well pub was great before the game. Took a gamble as wasn’t clear it was actually open as a bit of research suggested it had shut for a while on and off recently but alas it was. Got there early which was a good call as became mobbed by 1,15. Pretty sure at first we were on a table at first next to one of the GasCast lads as recognised his dulcet tones. Toilets in there proper old school stinking of “man water” 🤣
On to the ground and signs stuck up every 5 metres “Bristol rovers no alcohol served in this stand “
Decentish performance did enough.quite liked the look of “Christina” and a good goal. Seemed the terrace was a bit overly packed ?
Super Jed ward in goal was solid again, liking the look of him.
Special mention to the Exeter sub who took pelters in the corner where we were stood because of the size of his nose 🤣🤣
Walking back into town amongst their Exeter “yoof” was a good laugh. Faces on the floor and few of them trying to kick off with their own fans.
Another great day. We’ll go down for breakfast soon so I’ll stop rambling now
Up the bloody rovers 👍👍

A resilient performance sums it up. Lots to improve on ,Finley was missed on the pitch for sure. Will be interesting to see where Aguilera fits in when SF returns and who might drop out.
