Dan Hargreaves wouldn't be all over anything even if he tripped over it. I noticed earlier he was trying to get fans comments on the Wilson incident (s) on Saturday, which is about as far as his investigative journalism goes. Regardless the training issue is a non story compared to players apparently not even being prepared to run for MT. He’s a 20 yr (guess?) old lad , straight out of university. How the hell do you think he’s going to be an investigative journalist with his limited access ? Get a grip Topper 🙄😂

Quandsah struggled with us last season on loan from Liverpool. But had made an impact for them this season?! 2 leagues above.
Jed was in and out at Wealdstone and in his loan last season. Yet now our no.1, 2 leagues above.
His argument is short sighted and flawed. He excelled in preseason and would be a cheaper option than Gordon. He also has potential to be sold on in time as is still so young. Given the opportunity he’d be a reliable option for years to come. Poor management again!

As far as DH I understood this was his second reporting job and was around 25 years old. Perhaps before telling somebody to get a grip you need to check your own facts?

Been here 4 years and under 4(?) managers and not one of them thought he’s progressed enough to become a first team player for Bristol Rovers. It happens. Time will tell if he goes on to fulfill that potential but it looks like it won’t be with us. Not many youngsters leave Rovers and come back to bite us in the arse… Ryan Broom looked decent the other night mind!

Only repeating what MT suggested, he went one further on Saturday and suggested the players weren't even prepared to run for him. I'll put a link to that interview if you missed it. I heard his earlier interview thanks and interpreted it the same way as most normal people. He was struggling to get players on the training pitch because there were so many injuries and knocks being picked up. You are the only person who's chosen to put this weird spin and logic to it and create this myth about players going truant. Do you not think social media and local news outlets wouldn’t be all over a genuine story of players bunking off? His views on player work rate after Saturdays game was a different matter to your fake news about players going on strike from training. That's Topper for you - reads what he wants and changes his mind every other sentence.

That's Topper or you - heads what he wants and changes his mind every other sentence. Ha, bang on. Reading Toppers posts, I always picture he's the bloke from the Fast Show who's in the pub and likes to think he makes a good point, and then someone challenges it so he changes his mind, then changes it again when someone else say something, and ends up totally confused, and doesn't have a clue what he's even talking about!

This loaning of young players out does not seem to work well at the Gas when it comes to player development. OK works occasionally but most seem to fall by the wayside. Whether they are simply not good enough and should never been signed on pro contracts or we simply are very poor at developing young players, I do not know. But unless things change then it's just a waste of money trying to develop our own and makes more sense to spend the money on the likes of Conteh who have proved themselves in lower league football. That said seems odd how Ryan has gone from a hot prospect to no room at Bromley seems very odd. Bet he does on trial with DC at Cheltenham in pre season.

What is fact, I have seen Ryan Jones play and thought he did all right. I have watched Josh Grant and Gordon play a number of times and they have generally been awful. If it’s true, and monotone Matt has in fact said Ryan wont be given a chance to play again at Bristol Rovers, then imo that is out of order. The way Taylor has been whinging recently in the media and in in front of the supporters at Stevenage about the players is embarrassing. The Bromley manager ( 2 divisions below) has also seen him play , he’s decided he’s not good enough to get in his team. He’s sent him back. Yet you think he should be getting a game at our level ? Yep. You might think Grant and Gordon should be in the side. You might also say you will not be going back to the MEM this season after watching a poor performance; I might say we will be going to most games home and away, Its all about opinions and choices. Taylor thinks its a good idea to play youth loanees in torrential wind and rain, I thought it was a ridiculous idea. Although the difference is it is his job which is on the line not mine.

I don’t need to comment on a bloke mentioned on this page and it’s not Jones, I share a few of yours pain, I stopped banging me head against the wall, saved me a fortune on ibuprofen!
Whenever I see “he was great in pre season” I take a sigh, it’s literally not important football stuff!
There is a massive step up from playing for Weston or Truro on loan than the football league let alone National League with over 60% plus now full time.
I was at MK Dons away the day Luke Russe made his debut starting and we won, same kind of figure and stature as Jones. To play full back, unless you have pace and if you don’t, you have to have strength like Lee Brown, it’s why Michael Kelly is now playing for Scunny in the National North, he had neither.

Ollie Clarke (Gloucester City, Mangotsfield Utd & Clevedon), Ryan Broom (Taunton Town, Bath City & Eastleigh), Alfie Kilgour (Mangotsfield Utd, Cirencester Town, Hungerford Town & Maidenhead United), Jed Ward (Swindon Supermarine, Prescot Cables, Hungerford Town & Wealdstone), Sean Rigg (Grays Athletic & Forest Green Rovers), Lewis Haldane (Weston Super Mare & Forest Green Rovers), Rollin Menayese (Aldershot Town), Michael Kelly (Bath City), Luca Hoole (Taunton Town) among others have benefitted from loans are certain stages of their careers. All to a greater or lesser extent have gone on to have FL careers.

Recruiting coaches has a lot to do with it, bottom line we are just not good enough in all areas. Simple as that.
