Expectations lowered I see. Well done everyone 👏🏼 Carlisle...how are they getting on this season again? Away from home, a few hundred fans, can't buy a win. We battled for a win. Nice job. 🤠 Let's have a coffee?

We played Carlisle doesn't change anything but the rose tinters will rejoice and point to how much the club has progressed. 🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂 Enjoy the 3 points.

Holmegas1 who rattled your cage Good question. Just getting a tad fed up with all the negativity. The squad is imbalanced, and with all the injuries we are down to bare bones, so to beat Carlisle is still positive. We have also got to give the guy a chance. When I see “he will be gone by the end of the season”, I despair with these knee jerk reactions. I suppose that’s the world we live in. Maybe I need to chill, just more a half full than half empty supporter at the moment. What I learned today is that as good a player Harv is. He isn't really a central midfielder. Fair play to him giving it a go and fair play to him putting in the effort form tye team.

Not sure what josh vela’s problem was. Celebrated their goal like the thatchers and cooling fx had nicked his last rolo. So dedicating Ss7s strike to him. He was getting some stick from a guy near me on the Thatchers. At that point the Thatchers was so quiet, he would've heard every minute. After he scored, that guy was questioned as to why he wound him up and di apologise to the fans around him. We did notice that the guy ate a pasty and a pie before half time. 👍 makes sense now. He sort of came for the cooling fx as well I guess he wasn’t 100 percent sure where the abuse was coming from. As others have said I didn’t think Carlisle were as bad as their league position suggests. Looks like they’ve got a few new faces in in January. Looks too late for them now, Would be some escape from here. Hats off to the numbers they bought tho. Don’t know why but I really fancy us to win next week. Think Evans is back.

Socrates. I didn't realise you were a club employee. Your statement is read and subsequently binned I’m not a club employee and I’ve never met the new owner. I do however have decades of experience watching and playing football and I think that Taylor has done pretty well at steadying the ship in what’s been a turbulent season with changes at management, board and staff level. That’s basically my previous post cut short to make it easier for you to read. Do you disagree with that ?

Conteh the difference between the sides.stood out a mile from the rest. Said to my mates, won t be here long, very classy, with a great engine. If we can recruit similar like the owners have said is our intention exciting times ahead!Need the likes of Grant Ward, Hunt and Martin though for some experience. There may be a thread about that interview, however I am surprised that your comment is the first one that refers to their interview today. I agree that Conteh was a great signing and I agree that he won't be here very long. It is absolutely the kind of signing we should make and we should appreciate them while they are with us. I would be happy with 5 young players of Conteh's quality being in the first team next season. Mixed with the older players to mentor them, worse case scenario we get to sell them for a decent price (and a sell one clause).

Far too sensible Eric, expect a ban! Baggott and Vale must be possibles though on permanent deals, I would think . I think League One is Vale’s level for the next few years of his career and hopefully he’ll follow the mindset of McCormick and recognise a permanent deal at league one is a better option than sitting within the Chelsea factory. I think there’s plenty better out there than Baggott personally and I’d like to see Connolly get minutes now rather than aiding Ipswich’s player development. The odd season long loan is fine. I just don’t get us signing several during January when the season was already effectively over and parent clubs getting 99% benefit of the loan and nothing really in it for us. Based on what we saw with Bobby Thomas and Quansah, I think Harvey Vale has a really good career ahead of him. Definately a premiership player, maybe not at Chelsea. I've enjoyed watching him, still struggle to stop seeing a young David Walliams though.

What did you realistically think would happen for the rest of the season when Barton was sacked with us in 17th ? Not wanting to put words into someone else's mouth but I thought we would push on and get to the playoffs. The only reason really for saying that is due to reading on here thatvwe had assembled the best squad ever. As it turns out, they may be the best squad but also the most injury prone. So it hasn't really happened. I do like Monotone Matt, I watched his pre match interview and agreed with what he said. I'm not sure where the Conteh signing came from. Maybe Matt or one of his associates or maybe the fish monger. Either way, that was a good bit of business and if we can sign a few more like him over the summer I will be well happy.

Late home after an at times stressful game but we did just about enough to get over the line.
Hopefully this is us bouncing back from an all season low of available players and given some of the quality we could add the rest of the season could be quite exciting.
Plenty of time to talk marks … here is what we finally agreed on.
Ward -5 … Nit convinced he will be No1 next season. Being mentored by Jaakkola is holding him back. Needs to command his area way better.
Hunt -5 still not up to pre injury form Wilson -4 neither a captain or decent central defender - just lumps the ball away and today bottled out of repeated headers challenges. Baggott - 6 Seens to be getting better each game. Woukd be excited to see him paired with Taylor. Gordon -6 Got forward well , actually put in some crosses too. Would offer him new terms
Vale - 6 Involved in plenty of things but think his better position is out wide.
Conteh -8 Outstanding .. What a player we have on our hands here.
Brown - 7 Starting to see glimpses of what we knew was in there … two assists today and the outrageous rainbow flick was worth the entrance money alone
Thomas -5 Maybe his mind was at the wedding still just added very little positive today.
Martin -6 Fought hard and excellent goal
Sinclair -7 Industrious , tackled back well and an excellent goal
Subs ..
None added any value -
Good win needed by all.
Well done Blue Boys !

Agree with most of what you say but very unfair on Ward. Excellent for most of today. Hope he is our no1 next season.

Agree with most of what you say but very unfair on Ward. Excellent for most of today. Hope he is our no1 next season. Made a great double save at 1-1 not at fault for the goal and generally did the bread and butter stuff well. I’d give him a 7 for today. He’s doing very well for a young kid fair play to him.

Ward seems to tick the credentials mentioned earlier by Hussain, 20/21 year old with potential, it'll be odd to go out and target players like that whilst ignoring one already on our books.

Great to have Conteh back but any fair minded person would see that we are going to struggle against anyone in this division with him as our only available central midfielder. Last week we didn’t have him either and yet a lot of fans still gave the team pelters with literally no midfield! To be honest, I think Taylor deserves a lot of credit for 4 wins out of the last 7 matches given our injury struggles. Evans back for the next game, hopefully Ward not far behind. This will make an enormous difference. Great to see Brown influential today and Sinclair back in the fold. We definitely have a side capable of pushing for the play offs. Just wasn’t quite meant to be this year but I hope we don’t get the massive clear out that our owner seemed to hint at. Just a few tweaks needed.
