I too get annoyed with this fascination with labelling players as trouble. He never was with us, nor at Posh. He left in a positive way from us, and even they aren’t annoyed at him going!!!

Old troublesome and thinks he's better than he is and worth more than he is, as does his agent. Wouldn't touch him with a long stick. Can you post a link to any articles which suggest that he's caused any trouble at Posh? Can you tell me where I mentioned Posh? |

Spot on and his Manager speaking very highly of him immediately after their playoff defeat and wishing him well. |

If your meaning the historical social media posts he made when aged 18 that's hardly putting him in the bracket of troublesome. Otherwise I'm struggling to find evidence of him causing trouble at any club he's played for. Come on Bags if MT came out saying we're signing a striker who had the same goal scoring record that JCH has had over the past 5 years you'd be delighted. |

We would be stupid to not try and sign him.
Being a Rovers supporter is never ending frustration though.
Come on Gas pull your finger out and sign him on FFS.
Love to see us have an approach like Liverpool. Some pace either side in support of him and you have a seriously threatening front 3.

You're right, troublesone wasn't the right word, maybe the mess that happened during the attempted re-signing brought that one out. However, I know everyone thinks of him as the ultimate professional goal scoring machine but I also remember, on a few occassions where if things didn't go his way, his work rate and attitude dropped to the level where he may as well not be out there. I just don't think he's right for us anymore. |

Listen to MT's post season interview, the aim is mid table or better with a mid table budget, they are clearly not looking for a top 10 finish, that being the case there's no logic in splashing out on a top 10 or better striker. Perhaps the owners are just trying to lower expectations but this summer's recruitment will show if they are or not. |

Every team ‘buys’ promotion. It’s just a question as to whether they put the future financial well-being of the club at risk or whether they do it affordably. I suspect Wrexham may try to ‘buy’ promotion but they will be able to afford to do it. Others may try to do it without being able to afford it. Which may include us. But the owners have said that it won’t be us so that may give some indication of a limit on expectation. UTG! |
