I’m no fan of Barton but he definitely deserves credit for bringing Sir Anthony to the football club. Little doubt that we wouldn’t have got promoted without Evo in the team and it’s been lovely to see the evolution of his all round game over the last couple of years. That’s all down to his hard work, building on the talent he always possessed. It’s a weird journey to be fair, from Premier league academy to Germany during covid to league two and then league one. He totally deserves to play in the Championship and I just hope we get as much as we possibly can for him.

Even worse, I don't expect to see anyone as good replace him. |
