Before everyone jumps on the sexist wagon could we consider that Rovers fans are used to having pro Rovers commentators. Also the fan base hate Yeovil and she is a Yeovil fan. It’s got nothing to do with man vs woman. I was brought up as a Bath City fan, and Yeovil were our big rivals back then, so I certainly don't like them. However, I don't think that Sheridan's commentary is that bad - all comes down to personal taste really.

I've no idea whether the present R Bristol commentators are pro Rovers or not but I know whose voices I prefer to listen to, I've not seen many people posting that they are sorry SR might not be commentating on Rovers games next season.

Lets be absolutely honest with ourselves here. It's got nothing at all to do with the pitch of her voice. Nothing. Zilch. It's because she's a woman in what was hitherto a man's game. I totally disagree, it’s the pitch of her voice, it genuinely hurts my ears. Brokkman equally hits with his depressing droll. Alexandra Hartley on the cricket has a perfect relaxing tone to listen to. Agree Somerset, Alexandra Hartley is brilliant at what she does 🏏 🎙 💙
