Actually I won’t be at Rotherham as I’ll be travelling to St George’s Park for a tournament for the youngest. My boys actually love the idea of away games with their Dad ,but Topper you’d know much more about them than me, and my situation, wouldn’t you? He knows more about everything than anyone - surely you know that by now 😁!! You’d think I’d know that by now Eric, perhaps that’s why I’ve forgot my boys names 🤣 |

So you'll spend extra money and time traveling to away games just to make a point? What if there's no standing available at the away games, will you still go? Yes I will, that’s my choice, and we will stay away for the weekend and do other things in the area we go to over the weekend to make it more of an occasion. Good for you Somerset. Rovers are important but family come first, second and third every time. Have a great time with your sons! 👍 UTG! |

I see that Baggot has joined Blackpool for a season long loan . He was the only one from last year I would have liked to see return but obviously we now have more than anough central defenders Very disappointed. I think that this season he will perform better than any of our central defenders. Can also see him, with his height and stature, get a significant number of goals and assists. |

I wonder what his kids make of the decision that instead of a quick trip to the Mem to watch us play Northampton on Saturday, they've got to wait an extra week and then sit in a car for hours to watch us at Rotherham. I think we all now which of those two games we're more likely to win/lose. Looking at the price structures it seems most clubs now have 4 brackets and we've gone for U21 rather than U18, with so many students living in Bristol that could well be a wise choice. I lived in and around London for about 6 years . I went to quite a few games each season but more often than not I would go to the away games. I appreciate there is no financial gain for the Club, but the day out for a Home game started to become like ground hog day.
I found if I only went back to Bristol occasionally I actually enjoyed it more. The same when I lived in Bournemouth. Sometimes even driving to Bristol to meet up with a few mates and then travelling on to the Away game.
You have to do whatever suits you at the time to get your fix.

We used to go to an away game where we could make a weekend of it. Last year we went up to York for the Christmas market stopping at Derby on the Saturday. All seater but we had to stand the whole game because everyone in front of us stood the whole game. OK for me but notfor my Missus so we wont be doing it again. |

On subject of away games, dont do loads anymore, London ones are close so Orient and Charlton a few times. Thinking a weekend in Leeds for Huddersfield away this year though.
